Is Jimmy White still knocking about? I know he tried and failed last season in the Qualifiers.

Jimmy on the verge of going through.
Jimmy through after a 10-7 victory.

Tough draw in the next round as he faces Joe Perry.

Liang Wenbo looks in fine fettle. He steam rolled Rod Lawler 10-2. He scored a 147 in frame 10 and missed the final black of another maximum in frame 12. So close to being the first player to score two 147s in the same match

Good to see Jimmy safely through to the second round of qualifying but he'll need to find the type of performance which has escaped him since 2006 (jesus, last time he qualified) to get through against Joe Perry I'd imagine.

When's he next on? Edit; Sunday.

Jimmy in with a shout. 5-4 behind after the first session.

No shocks in the first round really.

5-4 behind has become 9-5 behind. Disappointing.

Few other names from the "past" going out too?

Matthew Stevens/Dominic Dale

But former champions such as Graeme Dott and Ken Doherty heading through.

Wont miss some of the stars from yesterdag like ebdon, was boring at his peak. Still pity about north east lad mike dunn going out to another tedious player, graeme dott

Tough draw for the seeds and the qualifying is so tough nowadays players are coming in in groove and the seeds having not played so are a little cold.

STAT. If Ronnie loses it will be the first time we have lost the top two seeds in the first Rd since 1982!!

Selby out is huge. Always think the further he goes the tougher he is to beat.

Ronnie has got it back to 7-7.

Long term gains.
I’ve got money on Wilson so we can probably rule him out.

That miscue on the blue was bizarre, almost like he did it deliberately.

I really hope Ding can go on and finally win it this year but Hawkins always turns up at the Crucible and will be a big test next round.

Higgins just the 9 frames to 0 up against Jack Lisowski, and seemingly heading for 10-0.

Never been a whitewash in the second round...

Good start by the Englishmen against more favoured opponents.
