Right, we did this the season before last and it seemed to go alright, figured with the availability of streams this year we've all seen a lot more football than maybe we have in the past, so let's have a little community vote once again for our very own Team of the Season, granted this only works if people vote so if it dies on it's arse at the keeper stage it's all your fault, so cast your votes!

So as usual, this is how it goes, we'll have a thread up for each position just to keep it clean and tidy, you can't vote for your own players, -1 if you do, let's keep all Brotherhood/Tinpot rivalry to one side, let's try and get a fair and balanced team, keep each position open for a couple of days and tot them up from there and get the winner from each position as we go.

Open to suggestion with regards to a formation but was thinking a simple 433? Does anyone still play with traditional wingers any more? But then who remembers excellent performances from fullbacks? I guess we'll see?

Right that's it..

Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )
Ben Hinchcliffe, Stockport, impressed both matches.

Justham.

As usual with these things, anyone who says "well seeing as I can't vote for my own player I guess I'll have to say" blah blah blah should be dismissed.

Taye Ashby-Hammond - Maidenhead

I think most Maidenhead fans would describe him as too inconsistent. Also his small stature means he can't reach some shots that most keepers would.

'Keeper is such a tough one to judge because those playing for poorer teams are going to get more chances to impress individually. Isted from Wealdstone is another that played like Lev Yashin against us at ML despite conceding three.

Reality is the best consistently are probably still the likes of Bouzanis, Hinchliffe, Slocombe, Lainton etc but they likely won't get many votes in something like this.

Obviously just off the small sample size of two games but kept clean sheets in both and made some impressive saves in the game on Boxing Day.

Hinchcliffe for me, was very good in both of our games against Stockport.

In any other team than ours a GK of Loach’s quality would walk it really, we’ve been incredibly lucky to have him with us.

I’d probably vote for Covolan.

I liked Ethan Ross at Weymouth. He slipped costing them a goal against us but he's big, very agile and commanded his area. Made a brilliant double save as well.
Only keeper I've seen in the flesh this season though.
On loan from Lincoln and I'd be happy for him to come to ours next season to push Slocombe.

From what I've seen Mark Cousins of Bromley had two good games against us so probably him. Didn't see Justham's heroics when we were at Dagenham.

As long as it's a -1 for that Hinchcliffe bloke then I'm not arsed

Could be worse, we had a player called McSweeney once and his own shirts got printed with "McWseeney" or "McSweeeney"on occasion
Absolute tin pottery
Love it.

The Southampton Loanee Jack Bycroft was excellent against us at The Vale, gets my vote we absolutely battered them 2-1. Roach kept a clean sheet against us but never vote for one of theirs.

Dagenham are the only team we failed to score against, and I am reminded of their impressive rearguard with ten men at Plainmoor earlier in the season, so I guess +1 for Elliot Justham.
