Apparently us, Yeovil and Mansfield all have poor food hygiene - imagine there's a full list available as it was a FOI request, but I just found this on Ciderspace through Newsnow. Will probably be published in the Mirror tomorrow as well.

I like our bacon rolls all the same :(

We'll done to Mansfield for clearing themselves up but how on earth did they score "1" in the first place?! Must have been rats everywhere!

We have Rakish Bingham knocking up the food the day before and helps with the clear up afterwards , so I'm guessing 5 stars is in the bag for us

About 3 years ago, there was a running joke about how bad our food was, the beer etc, they have done a really, really good job of doing things up.

The food in the Sandy Pate is good throughout the week (never really eat anything at half time so don't know what the food is like on matchday), and they are doing up another suite in the upper tier so fans can have a beer at half time etc in more comfortable conditions.

We've really came on leaps and bounds off the field in the last few years, so it was fair to say this outdated report really irked some at the club - amazing what a lazy bit of reporting can do to your image if you let it pass

In terms of food at half time, always go in the pate, looks much fresher and nicer.

Are we the only place in the world that have someone take your money, then another deal with your order in the Kiosk's? They've started doing it in the Patey now aswell, Someone took back something Saturday and the young lass said I can't do anything I only sort the money!

I never go anywhere near our pies or the rest of our food. It's on a par with our squad at the minute and it's massively over-priced.

http://fishkitchen.co.uk/ for decent fish restaurant or quality (expensive) fish & chips.

For basic fish and chips, etc., the Cambridge Fish Bar is just up the road from the ground.

Plenty of pubs, including Wetherspoons, in the centre of Kingston.

I've never got it either, I appreciate some folk are a bit simple, but it can't be hard to take money for a pie, and then give them the change - bearing in mind the till tells you the money you need to give back out!

It's basic food hygiene. If someone is handling burgers, buns or unwrapped pies (with or without gloves), they probably should not be handling money. It may not be common practice but if your catering side were aiming to put things right after a bad report, it probably makes sense.

Tip for away fans at Orient: balti pie or nothing. The food is vile, but at least with a balti pie you won't care as it's supposed to be like that.

This is pretty much my rule for all football grounds except Kidderminster.

Our pasty quality has varied over the years, but now I think it's at a good level.

I knew there was a reason Billy Paynter looked so happy to have signed for you. Don't worry, I'm sure your world famous pies will be back soon now that the market for them has trebled.

Since he left us, several pie-shops on Warwick Road have been forced to close their doors.

Fair point.

But from what ive seen, they don't touch the food directly, they always touch the base of the pies of pick up a serviette before picking up a sausage roll.

The problem you've got is trying to serve hundreds in such a short space of time , there are bound to be a few corners cut ...it would help if they had prices so you could end up with a Staughton pound or 50p ....just be grateful they don't take cards and your stuck behind someone spending 10 minutes putting in the wrong PIN

You should be alright food wise in Kingston or Wimbledon.
Or if you fancy a decent greasy spoon, there's a Fatboys cafe just along from the ground

The food at Kidderminster is the only good thing about being in the Conference.

Maybe but everything comes in bags anyway. It was even better last season, When asking for beer one would take the order, one would then take your money and sort the change and the other would go fetch the bottle only to give it to the lad who took the order for him to remove the bottle top just incase you wanted to use it as a missile.

Never realised how complex it could be to work in a food kiosk at a football ground.

It's taken them a while to work out how to serve coffee at Brunton Park, which they still haven't gotten right. For years the refreshments were run by the chairman's family company, and they had your standard big urn of pre-brewed filter coffee you get at public events up and down the land, which was perfectly acceptable. Then they went to a specialist football catering company last season, and they brought in coffee machines to serve cappuccinos and lattes and the like, which was perfectly nice but the 30 seconds it took to make each coffee caused huge queues. They clearly saw this problem as this season they've just gone to instant coffee (without reducing the price I should add) which has fixed the queuing issue... but is pretty rank.

Just go back to the urn!

I avoid food at all football grounds, including ours (but with the exception of Kiddy), unless I'm really desperate. I was on Saturday and had a pasty at your place. It wasn't substantial but quite tasty.

As WombleTom say, Fat Boys round the corner from Kingsmeadow is excellent but allow plenty of time to queue - it's heaving on matchdays.

Behind Morecambes away end it's a bit of a faff getting a coffee... They give it to you black and you have to shuffle along a bit adding your own milk and sugar ....surely easier to serve it pre white with black upon request ...We are talking a quick cuppa at half time here its not rocket surgery
