The world needs more of Aaron's like before it's too late.

Yes. I'm phobic of the term "genius" and whatnot, but in his case TPTB took an exceptional and original thinker, with both the yen and the grinta to do big and maybe great things (as opposed to something GENIUS like flogging a taxi app, or marketing a marginally more user friendly mobile whilst wearing a turtle neck sweater, say), and quite literally hounded him to death. Who knows what he might have gone on to do? And that, at the risk of syrupy hyperbole, seems like a tragedy for the world at large as much as it was tragedy for him and his nearest and dearest. Just a life affirming episode all round really.

Re: Citizenfour I was just reading the Reddit AMA with Snowden/Greenwald/Poitras. Neil Patrick Harris' joke at the Oscars was mentioned so I went to Youtube to see the clip. Going from watching the doc to seeing them on stage there is some sort of weapons grade cognitive dissonance innit. Assimilated already, and now an ironic throw to commercial. Panem et circuensus hardy covers it. We really are all fucked, aren't we?
