As predicted at the start of the season, he's about to implode. Just seen his pre match presser, what an unstable character he is.

Guys a knob. It's going to be funny watching him fall apart in the next the few weeks. Rubbish football manager.

Tim Sherwood doesn't think that Tim Sherwood is a knob...

If anyone hasn't seen the press conference that won't make sense

I've always thought he was useless, all gusto and presentation, no substance. Nice to see the world is realising it too, though I have to admit he's had an awful situation to deal with at Villa. He seems to be the perfect manager to give a club a shot in the arm for a month or two (ala Dick Advocaat at Sunderland last year), but nothing more. He talks a good talk (sort of).

Called it when he was appointed in February...

I'm confident he'll get a reaction from the players in the short term which will be enough to keep them up. But after that? Nah, he's not the right man to take them forward.

I think the problems at Villa run a lot deeper than simply blaming the manager. Things haven't appeared right there for a long time and something definitely needs addressing.

Villa are a big club, but need to start acting like one. They've got a tremendously loyal fan-base, but loyalty can can only last for so long.

Well yes, the owner not giving much of a fuck because he's trying to sell the club for one. Although the very real prospect of relegation should be a cause for concern for him as it would have a big effect on the club's value.

As for Sherwood, he is a shit manager. But given the club's situation, I'd be surprised if there was anyone willing to take the job on who could do better.

I don't think Sherwood is a bad manager at all. He's a young manager going through his first bad spell at a club that is deterioting. He lost his captain and leading scorer in the Summer. Tim's biggest mistake might have been taking the job on in the first place.

In his post match interviews recently he's been looking increasingly lost and he hasn't had that arrogant air about him that he had at Spurs. He won't be long for the chop and to be put out of his misery.

I've thought this myself think he'll be sacked soon. I'm sat on the wall at the moment.

Who would be your choice to take over if he does get the chop? Do you think you could attract someone like Moyes / Rodgers?

No clue, I'd like to think we'd be able to. Shamefully, I wanted Allardyce until the club was sold, safe pair of hands and all that, but bleeding Sunderland nabbed him.

The turnover of players is surely something extra he's had to do and a possible reason to get more time too. Not looked for precision, but about two thirds of the team are new players, right?

Pretty much, yeah, the thing is, most of the players we shipped out were fucking awful.

Tim is alright. Steadied the ship at Spurs and I don't think he should be judged so quickly. The lad hasn't had a full season yet ffs!

He reminds me of Dean Saunders. Shouting bollocks and talking bollocks may have worked 25 years ago when they got fish and chips on the coach home and openly drank, but it isn't going to cut it in the days of every sub coming on having to look at who they are marking at various set plays prior to entering the pitch.

Surely if you were an up and coming manager you would be hugely tempted by the Villa job regardless of ownership and turmoil?

Absolutely. Aston Villa are a big club, along with Spurs, Everton and arguably Newcastle, one of the few teams that with good management and investment could challenge for things continually.

We're gone this season regardless of the management situation I think. Squad isn't good enough, unless Randy really digs deep in January, we're fucked. We need a goalscorer, a keeper and a rightback AT LEAST if we are to stay up.

It's not really surprising he's shit because he's got a weak chin which naturally leads to having a character flaw. See below*

Tim Sherwood win ratio at Spurs was 50+%.......not many managers who can top that...........compare that to Brendan Rogers for example while at Swansea pre-joining Liverpool his win ratio was a mere 40%

Some really stupid inaccurate posts from people above who i can only assume are Talk Sport listening The Sun reading Sky Sports watching armchair fat dole heads.

Sounds great. Until you realise he almost lost as many games as he won (won 14, lost 10).

Bit like Rogers is Timothy, a walking meme.

Drawing is losing and has been since the 3 point system came in, i thought all football fans considered this the case.......if you draw 10 games you get 10 points........if you gamble and go for a win you will probably win at least 3, 4 or 5 :dk:

Yes mate, I see your point. 1 point is the same as 0 points. I feel stupid now.
Look at Crystal Palace's league position 6th................lost more games than 7 teams below them............and not drawn a game.

apology accepted !
