Someone once said that no publicity is bad publicity.....well I beg to differ.

To be fair to Crawley I see what they are trying to do, I'm just sceptical whether it's really worth it long term. Perhaps if 'insert YouTuber here' turns up at Crawley in your shiny new shirt, you may see more younger/female fans coming to games, but I'm just not sure it's really worth doing. We'll see.

Ballcrap of the highest order imo.

Manager has already said it is highly unlikely they will get on the pitch unless the game is well in hand (code for 6-0 and 5 minutes to go).

There are always gems out there but the chances of finding one playing in a youtube charity game are bloody slim. Meanwhile, the club has embarrassed themselves again.

My god I feel for you with these cryptocurrency geeks running you. I was so glad our current owner sent them packing before they rolled into your town.

There were quite a few Bantams fans who were willing to give these clowns a chance at the time, I think they have seen they were so wrong and are mightily relieved.

Does Kevin Betty have the final say on who gets to come on or is he likely to get word from above?

Definitely not tinpot, any clubs at our level should be considering it

We are playing Hartlepool soon on a Friday night instead of Saturday 3pm - which makes a mockery of the whole thing, but for one game it’s forgivable.

Thing is IF one of them does get on the pitch, First tackle they are going to get snapped in half.

Wasn’t sure where to put this but will other teams follow suit and move kick off times forward?

During the Covid year we played the majority of our home games at 1pm to save on floodlights. Made total sense for that season, but I remember some opposition fans claiming we had an advantage playing our games at that time regularly as 'we'd be more used to the conditions'.

I totally get why and understand it but it could also make it pretty tough for away supporters to get to places if there is a big distance involved.

Fully understand that but the energy crisis could finish a lot of clubs off

Betsy will have the final say in who plays and if he doesn't play somebody the owner wants played that will be his final say.

In truth. I dont know. I imagine it will be like the owners pledge to buy a player in the position the fans and nft owners voted for. They had to pretend a left back was a midfielder and most of the nft owners didn't know the difference.

I guess you're saying that sarcastically but it must make a difference in terms of pre-match preparations and meals and so on - eating a bowl of chicken and pasta a couple of hours earlier than normal on a Saturday morning etc. As one example, anyone who exercises will know it feels different going for a run in the morning than it does in the afternoon.

I don't really think it should matter, but I can see why in an era where these things are presumably planned meticulously it could be argued that it would throw you a little having a lunchtime kick-off.

That'll be the test. Whether money saved on the leccy is negated by income lost on lower crowds.
Tbf though get far enough north in England or in Scotland and there are days in Nov - Jan that would need flood lights by FT anyway.

This would all be true if we changed the kickoff times without any notice, which we didn’t, and there were plenty of other teams kicking off at 1pm instead during that time.

It wasn’t like it was a surprise or unusual.

Am I being tinpot?

01st October. Crawley v Satanage or fa cup match, Three Bridges v Hereford ?

Three Bridges are one of the areas in Crawley and if you have ever visited our fair town (well, we are a circus at the moment) by train it's the name of the mainline station here. I also have to walk past their ground to get to ours.

Highly tempted to go to the fa cup game.
