Everton's? Let's face it, it will never be Everton's year again will it. :shifty:

It's less a title race, and more a case of Chelsea dragging a cart of mutilated corpses behind them.

7 points now, nine games still to be played. It's starting to look open again.

Nah, very much a one off yesterday, Chelsea will beat City on Wednesday. Both Spurs and Chelsea have similar difficulty in their remaining fixtures too. The gap between 1st and 2nd will remain about what it is now.

If Tottenham continue their winning streak, then there's a huge chance for them to overtake. However, Chelsea will surely win their matches following the defeat to Crystal Palace

I dunno, they battered Palace and it was just one of those games where it didn't go in, and Palace, with our Sakho, defended stoutly. Still see the c*** winning the league at a canter.

I think given our recent turnaround we might be right back in this.

Chelsea have only lost one game in 11. Even though Spurs are only 7 points behind, it's hard to overtake a team that wins all the time.

Tomorrow's game at Old Trafford will be a big test but the rest of the games are banker wins.

Nah, neither would be satisfied with a draw. Conte will want to keep breathing space between Chelsea and Spurs after their win today and the dour one will be desperate to keep the possibility of top 4 open. United aren't playing well enough to be complacent about the Europa.

I don't think Mourinho has too much faith that he will get them up to 4th. He made it clear he didn't think they could do it when he did a 180 turn on his feelings towards the Europa League.

While I completely agree re the Europa, I think it's much, much more likely that United win the competition rather than finish in the top four (the latter, I'd argue, is pretty much no way Jose).

So as far as Mourinho is concerned, the league results have to be good enough so he won't be sacked if they fuck up the Europa imo. A draw at home to Chelsea is in line with that.

As far as Conte is concerned, this is away at a top four rival. A draw is always good, and they'll still have five points on Spurs with all the tough games out of the way.

Crystal Palace wouldn't have been defined as a "tough game" given Chelsea's form. No way will Conte go into this game thinking a point would be a satisfying outcome.

Spurs have been on fire recently, 13 scored and 1 conceded in 4 matches in April. If we beat Chelsea tomorrow then Spurs will definitely be in with a chance.

U know fuck all armchair stfu
Arsenal to win the league wasn't it? How's that working out for you. Or how about Everton winning 4 - 1 in the derby with Lukakwho grabbing a hat-trick. I maybe armchair but I'm still better on predictions than you. :ds:

I'm aware that that's the most likely scenario, but it isn't 100% certain that Chelsea will win.
Nothing is certain, but the way both are playing you'd have to fancy Chelsea who've got more to play for particularly with Spurs trying to close the gap on them.
