The Vanarama National League 2020/21 Preview

Spent a good 6 weeks or so working on this. Fully aware that I won't know each club as well as their fans but I've done my best and enjoy gaining knowledge of the teams in the division by doing this.

Hope you enjoy the read!

Superb write up that. Think it was you that did it last season as well, well done. Some serious effort has gone into it.

I got a bit of cramp in my thumb though going through the ‘ins’ at $tockport.

Yeovil for me but I know nothing

Excellent read that Leewilson, I’m actually surprised we weren’t included within those looking to avoid the drop.

Couple of small amendments on Wealdstone if you’re able to edit the post?

Moses Emmanuel joined us from Welling in January and it’s Jorome Slew instead of Jordan.

It was me too last season! I braved adding team graphics in this year which actually made the whole thing a lot harder because trying to second guess each club manager based off of pre season matches is a bloody nightmare!

Thank you - I'll add them in. Promoted clubs are always very difficult to predict. I just quite like the look of you guys. Felt there were at least 5-6 other clubs that looked a fair bit weaker.

Excellent read, thank you.

As a fan of "Tales of the Unexpected", I reckon Torquay could be surprise champions and Kings Lynn to make their way through they playoffs to provide another new destination for the EFL.

always good to see a preview of the season ahead.

Couple of players missed off the Wrexham ins though:
James Horsfield (Scunthorpe)
Jordan Davies (Brighton)

also, more likely to set up in a 4-3-3 / 4-5-1 formation than a 4-4-2, although you never know with Keates!!

I thought we had lined up with 2 strikers more often in pre-season?

Good read. Think you’ve got our team pretty much spot on, although we barely have 11 senior players signed with one day left until the season starts.

Just in case anybody was wondering, I will be doing another season preview for The National League which I'm hoping will come out on Thursday 19th August in anticipation of the season beginning. Hopefully my winners prediction will be a bit better than last season's. :doh:However, I'll clutch at straws that quite a few of the predictions were not too far off.

So this season...been very interesting going through all the ins and outs so far, looking at how sides are beginning to line up in pre-season, glancing at different messageboards to see fan perception. I have an initial draft lineup for each side which I immediately reflect upon whenever a new player is signed/leaves. It won't shock anybody but it's looking like an incredibly competitive division. I could make a case for a good 16 sides for doing well. It's going to take some real scrutinising to sort out.

I'll start a new thread on Thursday 19th August with the completed blog link in. I will also love you forever if any of you can plonk it on your club supporter messageboards as well. Last years attempt of signing up to them all didn't go as well as hoped with new poster restrictions etc.

Stockport County.
Where is the best place to look at all in the ins and outs at this level? Transfermarkt?

Yeah transfermarkt are great. However, the confirmed signings thread on here is normally where I hear about a deal being done for the bigger clubs. Every fortnight or so, I go on every team's website and do a quick scan down the news page to check I've not missed anything.
