Mine would be the first one, it got me hooked straight away. Then "This Sorrowful Life". i.e. the death of Merle. Also I loved the episode/s where it was just Carol, Tyreese and the 2 girls.

So many though, the Governor's attack on the prison. Death of Shane etc.

Can't be arsed doing a top 3 but my favourite is the very first episode.

I have never been so drawn in by a single episode before, felt like I knew all the characters immediately and was hooked.

Agreed on the first ever episode.

Season 5 episode 1 is a fucking good shout though.

Even if they did copy the 28 Days Later intro...

The comic would have predated both though, I presume the TV show just follows that?

28 Days Later predates the comic.

Shiiiiiiiiiit I didn't realise how old it was. 5 years older than 28 Weeks too, that surprises me.

I'd go for the episode where they find Morgan holed up as my favourite. Followed by the pilot, especially the scene where Morgan's wife comes to the door.

The whole reason Morgan is such a well loved character is due to the foundations put down in that first episode. You get how protective he is of his son. And you also get his pain at his wife being outside waiting at the door, and his inability to pull the trigger. That's very human emotion. And then the Clear episode really hammers his grief home. Having to watch his own son be destroyed by his zombified wife. His whole life destroyed.

Just caught up a couple days ago.

This show really needs to make up it's mind whether it is going to be a mediocre show or a great show, it went from great to terrible to okay to good in 5 seasons!

please tell me it's not only going to be on that BT Showcase channel :conf:

AMC Channel, which is exclusive to BT. Comes to Amazon Prime for anyone else next year.

Crackpot decision. BT must be paying them a hefty sum to make the channel exclusive.

Really enjoyed the first episode of Fear. I've seen some criticise it for being slow but in this instance I like it, it's a completely different kind of slow to being stuck on a farm for a whole season, I want the suspense to be built up in a way that makes the show in an eerie way relatable to how I would imagine it playing out in real life rather than a Hollywood-esque panic panic walk outside and shit there's zombies everywhere scenario that would just make the show a TWD clone.

And would you know that was Randy Wagstaff from The Wire all grown up playing the boyfriend.

It seems those who are criticising it expected it to be a clone. It was never ever going to be that, especially during the first season. People are stupid if they thought it was.

Shame we still don't get to see exactly how it started though.

First episode will be freeview on BT channel.

Looking into it as a subscriber to BT sports package I should be getting the new channel anyway. :2thumb:

Hang on a minute... why are they turning into walkers after death? That's something that didn't start to happen until months after the outbreak did it?

Really like the look of Fear t'walking dead.

For the first 20 mins or so though, I found myself frustrated, thinking 'that wouldn't happen' ' you wouldn't behave like that' etc....but I'm sometimes far too over-critical of TV shows & films.

The slow pace was agitating me at first, too.

But, having said all that, the pace does pick up, and you really start to get the sense that something monumental is about to go down.

Soundtrack is class as well.

I thought it was fairly tedious. The bulk of the storyline could have happened with or without the impending zombie apocalypse. That obviously can't last though, so I'll stick with it.

And would you know that was Randy Wagstaff from The Wire all grown up playing the boyfriend.

And seemingly killed off screen.

So two episodes in and already we have two dead black people and one seemingly about to die imminently. Good to see the legacy of TWD live on #prayfort-dog

Watched episode 2 of Fear t'walking dead last night....

On reflection, and having had a little think back to episode one, I've come to the conclusion that it's a bit shit, really.

I'll give it time but, I'm not convinced.

At least the rising sense of dread was palpable in this episode and things are starting to happen. Still all a bit vanilla at this point, and there isn't really a single characters you could say you'd tune in to see, even if the smack head guy is obviously a good young actor.

FACT TIME - He is Stannis' (Stephen Dillane) son. He also played young Tom Riddle in Harry Potter.

I quite like Tobias. I feel like he's one of us seeing as he gets his news from internet forums.

As dull as it's been, I must say I do want to see more as soon as an episode ends. I just hope them hiding the gore and the gruesomeness is just an artistic choice in terms of building up the end of the world rather than the direction this show wants to go in moving forward. Lots of opportunity to show the stark reality of what was happening hit the characters with the principle having his face smashed in and the neighbour being attacked, but it was all kinda dodged.

And this week they've reminded us how annoying a two week break between episodes is.

The Strain released a new episode yesterday (American time) too.
