A derby in the loosest sense of the word, I tend to only count The Blades as a derby, we've hit a blip, no win in three and we are without Forestieri due to wank officiating, Warnock won his first game last time out.

It's going to be a difficult game for us and The Millers are unbeaten at ours since the early 80s, if we hit our peak as we have at times this season then we should turn the over but football is a funny old game.

2-1 Wednesday 26,375 (2453 Millers)

I said I wouldn't go to this game when the argument about stupid pricing was waging at the start of the season.

Thankfully Sheffield Wednesday. like most other clubs in this league treat us as a non-entity meaning the lowest possible pricing when we play them.

It's £30 just the same as last year, so I will take my seat in the rusting death trap that that now goes under the name of Carling West Stand Upper, and hope I am not behind a bloody great post.

This is the best Wednesday team we have played for a very long time so all the unbeaten since the 80's history will mean nothing.
Or will it?

Only an inspired Warnock type performance will get us anything at all out of this game.

I am looking forward to it and dreading it at the same time.

With a likely following of around only 2500ish we need to get behind the team but they need to give us a big performance too.

Hoping for the best and dreading the worst.........last year's bore draw would be a great result.

Apart from Burnley, Wednesday have been the best team have seen this season so im expecting another tall order but its a derby game so anything can happen especially with the Warnock factor, im same as the post above, hoping for the best but expecting the worst but im looking forward to it anyhow and hope it will be a better game and atmosphere than last years fixture.

You can't help yourself can you "death trap" isn't fucking needed and let's not forget Millmoor wasn't a fucking safe haven.

Oh and cheapest tickets are £20 for away fans so be thankful we rate you higher than Charlton or Bolton.

You are spot on about Millmoor, getting out of the ground could be a crush and Millmoor Lane especially was a nightmare and cost one poor Swansea fan his life.
I still have great memories of Millmoor but would never want to go back, it had poor facilities and was from an age where men ruled football.
It is the past and good riddance, football is for families these days and rightly so.

I can understand why you are so sensitive about this but however you dress it up, it was indeed a death trap for those poor souls on that day.

The Leppings Lane end should have been demolished as soon as reasonably possible following the Hillsborough disaster.
Unfortunately it wasn't and it is still there, a rusty outdated stand with no leg room and dilapidated facilities.

With respect, as a home fan you don't go in there so you don't see what we see.

Regarding the tickets, £30 is still too expensive compared to the £23 you paid at our ground, and your £20 tickets are for 65 years not the 60 years we charge.
I would have had no problem at all getting the same pricing as Charlton and Bolton thanks.

Anyway, good luck after tomorrow there's no denying that you have dropped on a decent foreign owner and if you get to the play offs, I think you might just do it.

I just find the term death trap a disservice to the people that sadly died, it was an accident years in the making, both from the fans and authorities, it unfortunately culminated at Hillsborough due to several factors coming together that day.

I don't disagree that the Lep should have been levelled back then but in the here and now it still stands as a reminder to the failings of many. I've sat in that stand a couple of times and the view is excellent but agree about the facilities.

You may find £30 too much and I may think you're right but in the here and now of modern football it is par for the course, we get charged in excess of that most games anyroad.

As I've stated on numerous occasions I've never disliked Rotherham United but have been met with vitriol from your fans because I support Sheffield Wednesday and we've had some moderate success.

I assume you mean vitriol in real life?
Unless I have missed it on here?

Fair play to Rotherham, game plan worked to perfection. It was a fair goal for us but understand why it weren't given.

We will still finish top six

Was he not offside? Did look it to me but the stream just kept showing McGeady keeping the ball in play which was frustrating as hell as that clearly wasn't the reason it hadn't been given.

It's any two from five. Derby who are hit and miss. Wednesday level points with Cardiff. Birmingham and Ipswich both with a game in hand. Preston not far behind. It's probably gonna go down to the last day.

The guy was marginally onside but it was split second and i understand why the linesman thought he was off.

Coincidently I thought all the other controversial decisions (offside again and penalty appeal) the referee got right.

Fair enough. They never showed along the line so could only go on my first impression which was offside.

It was onside, just, how the little rat faced weasel Lino can not flag then when pressured decide it's off is beyond me but the standard of officiating in this country continues to decline.

At the stadium the dissalowed goal from Turner looked way offside in real time so i can see why the linesman gave offside even though the referee took forever to realize it took a deflection, having seen it on tv he did look level.

The game itself worked into our favour by getting the first goal because that allowed us to execute our game plan by playing counter attack and making it difficult for Wednesday, think thats probably best defensive display by us all season because even though Wednesday were throwing everything at us i just knew they were never gonna break through yesterday, we even had the best 3 chances of the game yesterday aswel so if we were more clinical, we could have won 3-0 but a wins a win an excellent one against a decent side.

Leppings Lane wasn't half lively after match, kicked off all over the place with a hundreds of fans involved, they were having to keep some of our fans in Leppings Lane for about hour because the police were struggling to deal with the trouble further up the road apparently, i was one of the first ones out the ground and through the police line so it didn't effect me thank fuck.

A good example of where a video replay would come into play and work as it wasn't clear either way and the game had stopped anyway..

I am sure Warnock would have had something to say had the goal been given!

The same thing happened to us earlier this season. We scored at Boro, goal given and then the ref went over to the linesman and they came to the conclusion that it shouldn't be given.

I imagine the lino didn't put his flag up because he couldn't tell if he touched it/was interfering. In our game, the ref went over and basically said it took a deflection off Antenucci, was he offside? And the linesman said yes.

But if he wasn't even offside then...
