Another vote for the NL forum being better than the L2 one here.

Half of League 2's regular posters are from non-league regulars though, like Macclesfield, Barrow and that Forest Green fella.

This will seem hard to believe but ChrisFGR is a really good poster now, one of my favourites.

It'd be a laugh seeing Halifax promoted, just to see how the League Two lot take to the crackhead who follows them.

League Two forum is still in mourning over the loss of Prince Philip. We're only on loan from the non-league forum anyway, so whether it's this summer or next that we come back remains to be seen.

Forest Green will beat us tomorrow, so everything will come down to our game vs Southend on Saturday. I'm not hopeful.

The conference one was always cracking, in our days down there you had wrexham, mansfield, cambridge, luton, lincoln, grimsby, kidderminster and newport - you had a real decent mix of regular posters.

Given bristol rovers and swindon are coming down it should wake it up a little.

Certainly don’t fancy halifax coming up, good lord!

What's happening at Macclesfield? is there an afc, phoenix club?

its on page 5 of this sub-forum, but not much been updated since October. looking at their twitter page they are still waiting to see what league they are placed in, but they are doing things in the background in preparation

Macclesfield FC all set up and ready to go, just waiting to be put in a league then all systems go with player signings etc. Local businessman as chairman, Danny Whitaker player-manager, and Robbie Savage heavily involved as well. Plan has been to invest heavily this year on the facilities and establishing a proper youth setup and then become completely self sufficient within a few years.

The ground has had a major revamp with a plastic pitch installed as well as a new bar and gym on the site. Absolute night and day compared to the crumbling mess we called home under the previous ownership. Proper feel good factor around the town for the first time in ages, and most importantly no splits in the fanbase so we should be well placed to race up the leagues...

40 years old now and his first taste of semi-pro football but he should really be able to boss games at 9th/10th tier level!

And don't get me wrong, I want us back in the NL eventually but honestly it's the journey itself that I'm most looking forward to. Bit of a culture shock for some but should be a lot of fun.

Some very friendly little clubs down the leagues you will enjoy the ride I’m sure.

I think Grimsby will be a top side in the Conference next season, they’ve been on good ish run over the last few weeks and it’s on my the fact they were so far back when Hurst took over that they’ve come down.

Southend on the other hand (if it is them) shouldn’t be strong unless they have a major upheaval of the club on and off the pitch.

They'll have to bounce back straight away or they'll be stuck down here for years. Ask Wrexham

I'm fully expecting another relegation battle. I'm just used to it now

As a supporter who's seen their team drop from the Championship to level 8 (level 9 after the introduction of the Conference South and North) I can highly recommend starting in the depths of non-league.

We Wimbledon supporters had an absolute blast as we rose up the leagues. Taking 2000 supporters to a step 8/9 club who were used to attendances of less than 100. Turning up to find that makeshift seating was hay bales. Playing teams that were able to build a new clubhouse with the takings of a home match against us. The innovative catering when they realised that they had to cater for 10 or even 20 times the crowd they normally got. I loved our time in non-league and still miss it.
