I don't think any Carlisle fan other than Carver would disagree about us being shit. Our 2017 record speaks for its self.

Only Carver seems to think we aren't getting the rub of the green, have been dominating games but our strikers have been having off days in front of goal.

Nolan has put some real grit into this team. End of season, one down , away from home with nothing to play for but they just aren't quitters.
I've read Carlisle fans defence of Curle, and his stats as a manager aren't bad, but they disguise his serial failure to actually get a team up.

Notts County deserved the win on balance of play but to concede such shite goals having got our noses in front is fucking criminal.

Gillespie needs dropped. He's no doubt a good keeper but he needs a kick up the arse, too many sloppy errors are creeping in to his game that weren't there a few years ago.

Notts County were average, just like Cambridge, Crewe etc. but we are unbelievably bad. Did either keeper actually make a save?

Jabo's goal was a great strike, Collin probably should've done better though. The first goal is pathetic, Brisley is actually paid to play football. The amount of times he headed/hoofed it out for a throw was bordering on annoying, Ellis could genuinely do no worse. The second is goal is just so, so, so, so bad. I would've made a better effort than Gillespie.

That midfield three of Devitt, Bailey and Liddle is Conference North standard. Bailey must have something on Curle, what the fuck does he do??? No wonder Chesterfield fans were delighted to get rid of Liddle, Mr Invisible. Devitt can go back to Morecambe.

I thought Notts County were decent, not the best football side we've played but certainly a massive improvement on recent Notts County teams I've seen. They are very physical which is what you need at this level. They'll do quite well next season I suspect.

I've got no beef with Curle really, his team was just about the best Notts side I've seen for the first few months, there's just no hiding that this exact thing happens everywhere that he goes.

If we're still hanging on to this play-off place at the end of the season and then gain promotion via the play-offs, it'll be an utter embarrassment.

I can just see it happening too. Us clinging on to that final place thanks to the shitness of others the same way we clung on to the final automatic place for so long, then suddenly putting in three uninspired but determined and jammy performances to scrape into League One.
