Marathons.

Did my first one on Friday, and now my body is literally fucked.

I'm running the London Marathon this year. Never run one before. I should really start preparing.

It's fine at the moment. I normally run in the evening when the temperature is about 15 degrees. The marathon started at 7am but once it got to 10:30/11am, the heat was pretty bad, but not unbearable.

The sheep mentality that seems to be rife thesedays. 'Oh eveyone has a comb over hair cut I best get one then', 'oh people are growing beards so I guess I'll get one'. It just adds to the current blandness that is so prevelant throughout society where anyone who looks or likes something different is outcast, maybe that's why the fashion and music scene has never been so corporate and bland.

How losing weight takes so long.

I was 2/3 stone overweight when I was 21. Finally shifted that weight at the end of last year.

Celebrated my 35th birthday earlier this month.

Celebrated my 35th birthday earlier this month.

Yeah I've had trouble with my weight for years also. Lost 6 stone over a couple of years a while back but put about 3 of that back on! I am pretty disciplined when I get into it and notice results, but once every 6 months or so I'll go back to my old ways of no exercise and stuffing my face! Had really bad back trouble though the last few years and I'm taking that as a signal my body is telling me to sort myself out physically; that and at 38 now I realise I better start looking after myself seriously.

Been back on a diet and exercise regime since the beginning of last week and its going well. I enjoy exercise too which helps greatly and spurs me on not to eat as much lol! I will increase the severity of the exercising once I feel my back has its strength again, do different things and hopefully keep to a sensible diet, and I should be able to shift that three stone come year end.

Ruined the shot, unfortunately there aren't any of just the players celebrating when that goal went in at Margate.

Edit: A lot of this hatred has to do with my fellow Stones supporters invading the pitch on a continual basis over absolutely nothing. It's embarrassing.
