Significantly cheaper and same quality on line, based on my experience over recent years.
Hmmm....I thought I was getting a good deal at the shop. Anyway, as it transpires there is no significant change in my sight so the specs that I have shall do me at least one more year.

Just discovered blue cheese with a single malt. My god is it good! I have tried high cocoa dark chocolate with it to cleanse the palate before and its nice; but the cheese and whisky combo is just lovely! Not tried it with a peat monster as yet, but looking forward to the investigation!! :D

Liking the sound of that. Also, I was pointed to a nutritious breakfast you may approve of, Quaker Golden syrup porridge made with milk, stir in a bit a double cream, and add a wee dram. Certainly keeps the cold out.

Try blue cheese with cider brandy mate it's a match made in heaven.

I'm quite amazed that people eat whilst they are drinking.......:eyes:

Its all about mixing flavours for me, and having something to compliment the malt. I don't do it all the time, though I'm not drinking it to get hammered anyway. :D

That reminds me, I'd like to smack Warwick Davis in the face with a shit-covered shovel.

He also looks a bit like that one who likes to act posh and has a show where he overacts with his dad.

Finally found something that works for my stinking cold and runny nose, Olbas nose inhaler worked almost straight away and only cost £1.50. I've spent about £20 to no avail up to now.

Getting a decent grad job after months and months of disillusionment.

And the subsequent big ass curry and red wine that I'm going to have tonight in celebration.
What's the job?

Didn't go to this, but got a call from my old boss today, back on the books as of tomorrow. No more travelling around being self-employed. My boss weren't happy when I told him today but what can I do about it. The phone call came 3 days after my girlfriend finally meeting my family and my son (those who read the mental health thread will get that).

On the books, £200 a week more, travel expenses, holidays, pension. Not going to turn that down to keep someone else happy lol.

Time to celebrate a good end to the year! :bdick:

Docked me over £250 the wankers, so childish.

Quite glad I'm only doing a couple of days a week for the first few weeks until the new year. Pretty daunting but usually it's the unknown that's the worst part of apprehension.

IMO, if you don't have that feeling, you're doing something wrong. Good luck!

I had a pint of the Titanic Plum Porter over the weekend and it was like nectar. What an ale. I'll definitely keep an eye out for this again on any future visits to the pub.

Coincidentally as I've come into this thread, I'm currently having a salted caramel porter. Not bad.

I'm not usually a big fan of hybrid ales and stuff in general. Had a white IPA yesterday but definitely prefer an IPA and a witbier or whatever separately.

M&S. Come across a few though.

Wasn't unpleasant, just two things that should be kept apart imo.
M&S do stock some really good beers. Southwold Winter IPA is fantastic.

They do. The one here has really bolstered its range in the last few months. Not sure I've had that one but there's loads to go through.

Rosberg winning the F1 title despite that repulsive Hamilton fucker trying his damnedest to slow things down to bring other drivers into the race to increase the chances of Rosberg finishing 4th or worse. The Mercedes team were not happy with him.
