Moved on from the 120 Days of Sodom filth have you then, pervert?

I also like Brazil nuts. What do they call them in Brazil, nuts?
Dunno, maybe they call them 'our nuts'.
You're out of order calling me a pervert as well. I'm presently perusing a publication that goes by the name of Razzle. It's the story of a journeyman who traverses mountains, wrestles great beasts and escapes savage bandits so that he may seek a fortune in the great city of Nottingham. It's a contemporary work.

Haha, no. I've been reading about Ann of Cleves and to me she seemed like a very nice young lady. She fell out of favour with Henry the 8th because in their bedchamber he was impotent and she could not bear him a male heir. He was not physically attracted to her.

He divorced her on the false premise that she was already betrothed to a man in Germany. While this was being investigated it was looking like she was heading (pun intended) the same way as Anne Boleyn. Henry realised that she could prove she was not betrothed but by this time he was hot for the slag Katherine Howard, so the divorce had to go ahead (no pun intended).

He ended up letting her live in Wolsey's old home Hampton Court and gave her a new title of Sister to the king. She would have made an excellent queen but truth be told I think she would have been happy that she didn't have to be around him because he was a belligerent twat with a suppurating leg which smelled unpleasant at that stage in his life.

I'll tell you something else as well. Katherine Howard and Anne Boleyn were said to be beautiful and Anne of Cleves the least aesthetically pleasing of all his wives. UTTER BOLLOCKS! Ann of Cleves was good looking. Boleyn and Howard were rough as fuck, as were Seymour and Parr. Catherine of Aragon wasn't too bad though. If you don't believe all this then Google their images.

As for Brazil nuts they have a really nice consistency and wipe the floor with walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds etc
Henry 8 fell in love with Anne of Cleves because of a painting of her which was meant to be what we'd call today photoshopped (or touched up favourably) and reportedly was repulsed by her looks when he saw her. Thats the old story anyway, but if you've been reading up on it and there is a different tale about it, then no worries, but thats what we have been led to believe in the old history lessons.

He was a tinpot despot anyway, thinking he was more powerful than he really was, and if it wasn't for the story of his wives, he'd be a forgotten king, only to be remembered as being Lizzie 1's old man.

Yes, what you say is correct. The artist was also commissioned to paint her sister Amelia too as well as other young women around Europe. He instructed the artist to portray them as they really looked. Obviously that didn't happen because he liked how her portrait looked but as you say not how she looked in person. It cost Thomas Cromwell his life.

Not quite sure that's true, I think he'd still be remembered for being a bit of a 'tinpot despot', as you put it.

On the subject of his wives, I only found out quite recently that he was married to Catherine of Aragon for over 20 years, significantly more than all the others combined. I guess if she'd managed to give him the son he wanted (or the one she did have survived) then he never would have needed all the other wives anyway.

I'll be getting that soon as i've got all the other seasons, but from what i've seen of it, i don't think it's quite as good as seasons 1-7.

Some poor cow just had to be kept under the unnatural illusion of being pregnant to continue lactating long enough to provide you with enough milk for four different varieties of cheese, if you're going to get all righteous about it.

Henry VIII is boring compared to his contemporaries Francois I and Karl V.

I found out which bus driver handed in my wallet with all my money in it. I need some advice here, considering i was resigned to losing £45 would it be crass to quietly offer a tenner to him to buy a few beers as a thank you? And yes i know a tenner doesn't buy many beers these days but as i'm on disability benefits it's a fucking fortune to me!

Not crass but I'd leave it. Just a thank you would suffice.
Doesn't seem enough as he held onto my wallet from friday as the Wells bus station office closes at 1-30 on friday until 9-30 on monday morning, i just don't want to make the fella feel awkward. One idea i have is to give the tenner to a charity of his choice, would that be a good idea?

It would be a nice gesture on your part, it's rare to see such honesty these days, dips me lid to the bus driver.

Are you saying he should fund those crooks' lifestyles? Let him pirate them into destitution I say.

It's more the mention of The Big Bang Theory in any tone other than scathingly criticial or offensive that disgusted me. I'd rather spend thirty minutes watching a programme on the diversity of sphincters.

ITV, Channel 4 or Channel 5 have probably made that by now.

Setting myself up for a fall - Pleased to discover that we have got a replacement for the empty trophy cabinet that was sold off on Ebay in 2011.

"Breaking News November 2011: Conference club Cambridge United could be in line for a massive windfall after bidding on their empty trophy cabinet topped £2million on eBay – assuming the suspicious bids haven’t come from rival fans having a laugh of course…

wpid-article-1320260269859-0ea4258f00000578-557905_636x415.jpg

Cambridge United’s eBay listing has caused quite a stir – to the tune of around £2m, so far… (Picture: eBay)
The fifth-tier club, who sold their entire Abbey Stadium home for less money (£1.9m) seven years ago, have put the used, solid oak cabinet on the auction site in the hope of raising money for the club – some of which will also be donated to charity......"

Even better, it actually worked as the band recognised it and David Grohl made a video telling them they were coming.

Have to give credit to them, getting 1000 people together for that sorta thing is no easy feat and it's worked a treat for them too :) .
