Little game, interested to see what people come out with. With the transfer window coming ever closer, I thought the time was right. Essentially, for the team you support pick 3 players you've been linked with that you want to see at the club. Then, name what 3 players you would see leave the club. Finally, pick out your idea for the starting eleven your new team would have.

Try to keep it realistic. I.e. don't say "we've been linked with Bale, Ronaldo and Suarez, so I'll take all 3". Consider the transfer budget your club has and FFP. Obviously if you've got big players going out that opens the door for big players to come in. Can also take into consideration players your team might have on loan.

Personally, as a United fan:
Three in - Depay, Strootman, Clyne
Three out - Rafael, Evans, Cleverley

De Gea
Clyne - Smalling - Rojo - Shaw
Strootman
Herrera - Mata
Depay - Rooney - Di Maria

I reckon we should do a Liverpool and raid a Europa League challenging club for their best players.
In: Sterling, Sakho, Sturridge
Out: Walcott, Mertesacker, Flamini

None of those players would improve us. And what's the point of selling Per?

Agree. We need an upgrade on Sczeszney, Mertesaker and competition for Coquelin. I think we're fine attacking wise, dont agree with Henry's comments about Giroud.

Also, I'd be disappointed to lose Szczesney. It was the right decision to drop him but I still have faith he can fulfil his potential (has a very high ceiling imo if he can get his head straight) and it was only a year ago he was winning the golden glove. Let him and Ospina compete for the number one spot and we can focus on other parts of the team. Cech is a pipe dream anyway and there aren't many other alternatives.

Mourinho would prevent Pogba from being the perennial Ballon D'or contender he can become. He should play in an advanced role for an attacking side. I reckon he'll end up in Madrid if there is an impending transfer ban. A nifty £100m splurge on Pogba and De Gea.

I'm sure this would keep me up at night as we go on to win leagues/cups etc.

Sheesh, guilty conscience or just paranoia?

That wasn't to wind up Chelsea supporters. I'd want Pogba as a Chelsea fan even if Mourinho would stifle him. I said this as a football fan who objectively believes Pogba can become the next "best player on the planet" if he plays with more freedom.

Too much is made of personal achievement in football, which is typified by the fandom which surrounds Messi/Ronaldo. Fuck that, rather we had a group of players who play for the team over personal glory. So if he comes, and doesn't win a ballon d'or because he's been 'stifled' then good.

Strange how quckly people have forgotten how we played the first half of the season when we had strikers available; it was inevitable that the game plan was changed when Costa stsrted to miss games, then Remy had problems too.

I don't think Pogba would be stifled, especially if we can find another striker to replace Drogba, and keep Costa fit too.

Mourinho changed his ways before the couple injuries you mentioned. Costa hasn't missed every game since the Spurs loss. It's equally strange how some think that's more than an aberration for Jose. As soon as the pressure is on, he will always revert to his methods. His stubbornness is crucial to his success. I didn't say Pogba wouldn't do well. I prefer, as a fan of the game, that he plays for a side which will give him freedom. The France side poised for success for the next decade will be built around him, and I can't wait to watch. He has the potential to be Zidane good.

We'll see how things go in our last few games, and next season of course. Seems to me that whatever Mourinho does, it's looked upon with disdain by fans of other clubs. Strange how the experts involved in the media don't see it as 'boring'; personally, I'm delighted with us being champions again after a five year break with just a few meagre pots in between (one of them I'm sure a few teams would have been happy to lift)

Onwards and upwards, more to come hopefully.

What on earth do Chelsea's meaningless last three games mean compared to a decade?

You're taking this too personally. I'd love to be Champions and I'd love Paul Pogba on my team regardless. This has nothing to do with me not liking Mourinho as a person or Chelsea as Arsenal's rivals. It's only to do with my optimism about Pogba's potential ceiling.

Not taking it personally my friend; I was merely referring to how the last three games might be played out now the pressure's off. And as for Pogba, to reiterate, I don't think he'd be 'stifled' at the Bridge. Just the same, I think he'll go elsewhere anyhow.

The papers have been saying £50 mill for Pogba, I can't see anyone in England getting him for that. Juve don't have to sell and could win the treble this season, he doesn't need to move anywhere. If Juve want to sell him, they could easily up it to £70-80 mill. It of course also depends on what he wants too, whether he's settled in Italy or wants to come back.

Pogba should be going to Real Madrid or Barcelona. He will be one of the best in the world.

That's where I think you're wrong, I believe he should be coming to the Premier League, we may as well try to make the Premier League the best in the world again. The Spanish have overtaken us, we need to be making moves like this. On another note, Juventus could win the Champions League this year, who says he'd want to leave?

Prem is getting better, but those are the two best clubs in the world. The biggest and best. Even if Juventus (whom Ive always loved) do win the champions league, the money and prestige of those two clubs can't be beat, esp. Real Madrid. Madrid are crying out for a midfielder who can boss a game, and Ronaldo only has one or two seasons left in him at the very top imo. Pogba could be the next Zidane. If he comes to the premier league, i'd love it, but I think he knows his value.

Personally I think we need more than 3 out and 3 in. But anyways...
In - Scheniderlin, Ings, Higuain
Out- Johnson, Balotelli, Lambert....
Rest of the Deadwood: Allen, Borini, Brad Jones, Enrique

Funny how nobody ever says things like that about Sporting Lisbon, or Newell's Old Boys, or Southampton, or any number of other teams who've let players leave for pennys who are now worth £100+ million. Such short memories people have.

Difference being, those other teams sold on their prospects, usually with a nice little sell on clause. Man United released Pogba.

With the exception of Cleverley, Ive never heard of anyone we've been linked with, and our manager has already started with the usual 'dont be expecting any signings this summer' spiel...what a jolly summer its going to be!
