Bit early but thought i,d start a thread. The return of Joe Davis who was offered a ' derisory ' offer according to his pathetic dad and decided that Leicester City under 8's was a better idea to further his career. Nice to see him upwardly mobile at Fleetwood and a shock that moneybags Crewe didn,t sign him.

On to this weekend after one of our most exciting displays when unlucky not to turn Coventry over i think i,ll have to go for a home win and send the jumper wearing idiot Pressley home sulking. Fancy a 3-1 home win with 3868 and 118 from Fleetwood.

We won't score a goal and we will take less than 118

Predict Port Vale to win 1-0

It's a game we surely have to win. Our home form is excellent (best in many years) and we put in a great performance against Coventry which on any other day we would have won. However, as this is Vale and you can never be confident about anything then I think this will be a tight affair with a goal deciding it.

Fleetwood have been poor in general this season but they desperately need the points, so it won't be easy. I just hope we start in a positive manner and really take the fight out of them.

If only we'd had just moderate away form, we'd be challenging for the automatics!

I'll go for a 1-0 win in front of 4,683.

Play like we did against Coventry and we would surely win (barring another unreal keeper performance!) the problem is although our home record is fantastic, 1 loss, 12 unbeaten (or 11) we haven't yet hit the performance levels that we did to beat Burnley, Sheff U, Donny, Wigan and the Coventry draw last week when we could of won by 3 or 4 on another day against the so called smaller clubs who are struggling/lower mid table and we've had to grind out a win or draw. I would just like to see us put in a real performance on Saturday and really take it to Fleetwood to show we can raise our game week in week out and boost the hopes of making the play offs. We must do that by showing them the same respect we have against the bigger clubs, these have turned us over twice at VP in two games of course. Be nice to complete the Fylde Coast Quadrouple with a double of Fleetwood and Blackpool with a win on Saturday though!

Although Fleetwood are down the bottom this season the difference in quality between the majority of the teams is fairly minimal so it wont be easy.

Think it'll be another tight scrappy one though and we will come out 2-1 winners.

Surely vale have to win if you are serious about breaking into the play offs. Everytime you have got in a good position you have fluffed it, so be interesting to see what happens.
Predict 1 0 vale

Considering Harry Davis is the most overpaid player we've had at the club for a good few years this doesn't surprise me one bit he felt Joe was being underpaid by you lot. Bloke is deluded far beyond belief.

However I don't think Steve is stupid enough to sign Joe Davis, if he did fans would be furious. That's a given.

Davis wasn't too bad either as a player although what a year out the scene at Leicester may have done I don't know?

Not a lot to shout about in this one so far. Had two great chances blazing one over and a block when looking certain to slot home.

Fleetwood time wasting already and slowing it down which is stopping us getting any sustained pressure on.

We struggle to beat teams who come and park the bus and that's what Fleetwood did, in the end the draw was a fair result.

As I said pre game we can't raise it for the bottom sides

Fleetwood will be happy with the point, but we didn't do anywhere near enough to win the game.
Robinson was ineffective. Only Moore and Kennedy stood out for me.

Thought McGivern did OK against Ameobi. Take one of them chances first half and force them to chase we win it but a team of big physical players we always fail to break down. It was like the Bradford game again!

Have to disagree, Ameobi is a spent donkey who offered absolutely zilch. Page seems to think Robinson is the real deal based on radio comments. A frustrating game, and i,d say a fair result. The last week epitomises Vale, superb against Coventry , bang average v Fleetwood. Hence we are where we are in the table. A footnote, Fleetwood support is truly atrocious, 3 visits to Vale and question if all 3 games total 500.

So what? It hasn't stopped us getting 7 out of 9 points at your ground so far.

To be fair in years gone past that hasn't been hard! Crawley beat us with 37 fans in attendance. This year is the first Fortress Vale Park since 2003/04!
