No shock in all honesty is it? Shocking start to the season, worse than any Coventry fan thought it would/could be. Reasonable side on paper, with some decent strikers. Shouldn't be losing to AFC Wimbledon at home in a must win game.

Who next for the job?

Why? His first game as against us and we beat them then!

Couldn't care less. Failed with a team that should have been promoted last season.

Regardless, the pathetic soap opera continues. SISU OUT.

They got a 94th minute equaliser to draw. Still though winless in 10 is unacceptable for Coventry. If they could tempt somebody like Kenny Jackett that would be a great appointment.

Ah, I missed that part haha.

Seems a little bit odd to resign after a late equaliser? Could be something that gave them confidence for the next game.

I'd like someone like Steve Cotterill to have a go,I'm sure he would get us out this league where like at Bristol if he fails we can attract a new man, we just need to get up asap

Kenny Jackett would be my number one choice but why would he come? Why would anyone come for that matter especially as boycotts and protests are planned so whoever it is so he won't even get the backing of the fans, it's a shambles.

We've had a lot of "nice guys" in recent years where opposition managers always praise us after beating us. Maybe we need a Steve Evans type of person...

Either way we're fucked at least until January as we can't make any signings and our squad is as bad as you can get.

Cotterill had a budget far bigger than anyone else to get promoted though!

No chance Jackett would come here, we have never been a less attractive club to manage.

We will either get some non league unknown manager looking to make a name for himself or someone looking to rebuild a reputation in tatters like Westley or Gregg Abbot.

Disagree,

I think there'll be plenty of half decent managers interested in managing Coventry. The fashion in England in the PL and Championdhip is to employ new foreign managers.

That means there is now a large pool of half decent English managers that can't get jobs because there's more managers than available positions.

Also any new manager that struggles at Cov can easily blame the board. So I think their reputation doesn't take much damage from failure.

Many managers are quite vain and like a challenge. Many will be convinced they can turn Coventry into a mid table team even with the same players.

And finally at lower league level Coventry City is a name that still has attraction. Yeh you'll get plenty of decent applicants, they just won't be too level.

Getting up looks a long long way off for you looking in from the outside without knowing all the ins and outs

Have to say, that Coventry squad looks pretty apalling on paper.

With all due respect, I disagree. Things have never been worse at the club, I don't think it's ever been a less attractive job to managers.

Slimboy Evans has only succeeded where he has had a barrowload of cash(and meat pies). Greg Abbot seems happy in his current job. The old Port Vale Guy Adams has a decent record, what's he doing?

Adams would be good for Cov I reckon. Plays direct football, did very well for us just got a little stale towards the end. Good bloke too. Hopefully we will stuff Cov whoever their manager is come Saturday

We've had Adams before, did ok in comparison with other managers over the last 13 years but we won't go back there.

Well that's a complete myth.

Cotterill took us over in the same position as you now, but I wouldn't be worry about promotion just yet.

Bizarrely he is among the favourites.

Hopefully that is just some dullard cov fan putting a few quid on him as they still like him.

Fair play to Mowbray for resigning great humility and will have earned a lot of respect, seems to have given the players a lift too looking at their great win at Port Vale yesterday. Coventry should be going all out for Kenny Jackett, think he'd be a great fit, but of course the owners and off the field problems may deter him somewhat. Taking somebody like Keith Hill from Rochdale could work for them.

To be honest Coventry would have won had Mowbray not resigned such was our performance and self destructiveness!
