Ligue1
Neither is Ligue 1 since PSG got oil-rich. They've won comfortably for 2 consecutive seasons and although they're underperforming this year, they will likely win the overwhelmingly majority of Ligue 1 titles in the next 10 years. I do however disagree that the Portuguese league produces more talents as the gulf in class between the top and bottom half there is huge - the likes of Diafra Sakho and Bacary Sauna came from bottom half teams in Ligue 1 - most of the teams in the bottom half of the Liga Portuguesa are virtually unheard of.
Yep. They probably will win the majority, but you have at least 3 or 4 teams attempting to challenge top spot, like this season for example.
The bottom of the Ligue is exciting too but it's like that in every league, so that's normal.
Btw, Sakho came from Ligue 2. Which makes he's performances in the Premier League even the more so incredible!

Metz was it? Now I think about it was the season in which they got promoted?

the portugese league produces much more talents, also the eredivisie furthermore are in average the bundesliga players younger as their counterparts in france.

Bayern munich could win the league title in every country, thats a a stupid argument.
That's a pretty bold statement considering there is no real way comparing which of France or Portugal produces more talents.

And I disagree btw. Kurt Zouma was plying his trade at Saint-Etienne not Sporting, Sakho came from Metz, not Coimbra etc. Our youngsters are still being snapped up by the Prem. Ronaldo aside, I can't think of any major talent to have come out of the Portuguese league. They're also our feeder league. At one time we bought Lisandro Lopez (class) and Lucho Gonzalez (terrible) from Porto who were high flying. Our academies are up there with the best in the world.

I did say almost every year. Atletico Madrid had two world-class players in Courtois and Costa and sold them because they can't keep up financially with Real and Barcelona. Money has taken over France though, it's been close this year but I still see PSG winning an overwhelming majority of the Ligue 1 titles in the next 10 years.

Tbf Atletico never sold/owned Courtois. He was on loan from Chelsea.

What you just said goes to show that Portugal are really not that great at training youngsters who are actually born on their own soil. Most of the stars that got then sold were purchased from South America (Argentina & Brazil mainly) for a nickel and sold millions to the powers of England and Spain (and, erm, France). France and Holland actually have strong academies who train and nurture youngsters into very able footballers. Otherwise they wouldn't go to England (for France) and Germany (for Holland).

Italy is closer to France than England is and you had loads of French players back when Serie A was actually good. Now that it's turned sour, there aren't many French players there (except in Milan with Mexès and Ménez literrally carrying AC not to lose games).
The more you look into it, you get loads of French players in the English lower leagues. For Ireland, I think the aim of the players playing in the Irish league is to get a move to England. Most of the time it'll be in the lower leagues. Reckon competition for places for Premiership gametime has become stiffer so less and less Ireland players make the headlines these days. Remember the days of the Keanes, Duff et al? Them are long gone.
