I'll take the second bet no problembo and the first bet can we have a readjustment to a top 6 finish rather than promotion, and I'll happily accept.
I thought it was nailed on you are going up? As champions? Etch the trophy now ?
Bet accepted. Top 6 it is.

Yep, we are going up as Champs. But why bet you a tenner when I can do so with the bookies and bet better odds. Top 6 is still generous in your favour by quite some way.

Interesting sides for me this season are Accrington, Cheltenham and Cambridge for no other reason than last season they conceded 80, 74 and 80 respectively and I don't think that kind of defence is sustainable for that mid-table pack again because that's a serious amount of goals conceded. I'd be lying if I said I'm completely up to date with everyone's ins and outs, it seems to have been relatively quiet so far.
Massively out with MK and Oxford! Not a bad stab at it I don't think, one of my better ones.

Accrington haven't tightened up at all, but Cambridge and Cheltenham have albeit very much at the expense of goals scored.

Close, but no cigar.

I know absolutely fuck all about most of the teams at this level so this is going to be badly wrong:

Peterborough
Sheff Wed
Oxford
Plymouth
Ipswich
Barnsley

Burton (assuming they keep hold of JFH)
Morecambe
Fleetwood
Cheltenham

And as for this turns out I really did know fuck all about this league coming in to it. That Oxford one being the most egregious.

Oxford for Bolton and you've got the top 6 right in no particular order.

I’ve predicted Cambridge to be in the bottom 4 on my predictions.

With regards to Burton, I don’t think they’ll go down but I don’t think they’ll go without a struggle. I just don’t rate JFH as a gaffer.

I agree with comments about Fleetwood also. Made some decent signings. Don’t think they’ll be pushing the top 6 but comfortable mid table I can see them. Definitely not in a relegation battle.

Standout business is obviously Sheffield Wednesday and I’d be shocked if they weren’t top 2.

Whereas at the bottom end I can’t see past Morecambe being bottom and FGR I’m fairly confident will drop after seeing their signings. Whilst I’ve not predicted Accrington to go down, they’ll certainly struggle. Only thing that keeps them up is John Coleman and the big clubs won’t fancy going to the Crown Ground on a cold, wet, windy winter afternoon/evening.
Better knowledge than that fat prick Gabriel Sutton.

Meh. 1-5 not too bad. Missed out on Plymouth and Barnsley. Chucking us in at 6th was more in hope than expectation. At least I got MK Dons and Oxford right.

Looks like 2 of the bottom 4. Not a bad effort all said and done.

Lots of guesswork from here, and the temptation to put the big clubs top and the small clubs bottom is risky....

I think Bristol Rovers will do the best of the promoted teams, they are strengthening, had good momentum towards the end of last season and have a manager who, at least, knows this level well. Wouldn't like to predict how we will do, with an unproven manager, the loss of key parts of last year's team, and thus far, at least, and probably Reece Brown apart, not obviously wildly impressive transfers in.

(Overheard on a bus in Nailsworth on the way to our game against Bradford City in the spring, a conversation between an American FGR fan and a Bradford Bradford City fan. - "The thing about America is that way more people believe in God and things like that than in England". - "Ah that's nothing, some people here even believe that Sheffield Wednesday will get promoted").

Anyway...

5. Peterborough
6. Barnsley

Well what a load of rubbish most of those predictions were. Oxford United, ah right

You were far too over confident about our chances. That’ll teach you not to be so cocky next time….

Interesting that not many had Plymouth top 6.

We won more games (2) in pre season than we have in the second half of this season under Big Dunc.

Win one of those away games its embarrassing we gave you your only one :)

Can’t see us winning at Cambridge, tomorrow who knows if Cheltenham play like they often do against us we’ve got a chance but wouldn’t bet on it.

We did win 2-1 at South Shields in the FA Cup so at least you aren’t the only team we’ve beaten away this season.
