Anyway, there should be a decent gate by Bury's standards because of a local promotion for this early top of the table encounter against Scunthorpe. Josh Morris is a man in form and is likely to get a lot of joy down Bury's right - the defence has been decimated by injuries, including two more against MK Dons. Bury will need Mayor back for this one in what promises to be an open game of football.

Cameron and Barnett out for sure and possibly Jones and Maher out too it could leave us with a makeshift inexperienced back line. Apparently Bryan had a great game at the back which is some consolation but it'll be a much tougher game for him.

Hopefully Mayor is back but again I believe Danns had a solid game in his position.

Based on all that I'd be happy with a point to keep us going.

Going to go for a bold 3-1 prediction this week, assuming that Danny Mayor is fit, we're paper thin in defence but here's hoping our attacking threat will see us prevail.

It goes without saying that the fred title is excellent this week .... if you want it doing properly ask a Shagger to do it!

Thought it was a really good game of football today. Two evidently good sides, it was very physical and a great game to watch. Thought the atmosphere was really good too, it's not often you get home fans making that much noise but credit to Bury fans they helped make a good atmosphere. The game was very tough for us but we picked up a fantastic 3 points against a good team, these are the sort of games that can define seasons. We never stopped battling and i'm delighted we won.

A very fair assessment B.D. fair play to you, you were obviously at the same game as I was, sometimes when you read opposition views of a match you wonder!
Scunthorpe are a very very good side, and in my opinion, are going up.
Dawson is still awesome!

Not much to add to BD and others have said. I thought it took us a long time to get to grips with Bury, a physical and direct side. Once we did though in the second half, we started to play a bit of football on the deck and that opened Bury up a bit more. I thought we could and should have scored more than Morris's strike. But what a cracker than one was and he nearly got a second with a similar shot that hit the bar. I would have taken a point before kick-off, but we were solid on the day and deserved the win.
