After just spending how much on a new stand?

As soon as the word 'Council' crops up, that usually means slow decision making.

If, and it's a big IF, this is all legit, then it can only be of benefit to the future of Torquay United as a full-time football club.

Yes, we look dead and buried right now and it's highly unlikely we'll pull off any kind of miracle to avoid the trap door - but if the club doesn't look at a sustainable future then we may as well just give up.

Mind you, if I was Thea Bristow right now I'd be mightily pissed off with this news after spending nigh-on £2m to erect a stand to honour her late husband Paul.

There is also the question of what will happen to all the facilities 'under' the stand which benefit the adjoining school.

It's early days yet, and as Luke Imp has pointed out, when the council (anywhere) is involved then it's going to be a very long time before anything comes of this.

Stupid attitude to take - especially when all the sources are explicitly mentioned in the story, all of them being the main players in the situation. Some people don't know how news works so they claim fabrication.
