Honest opinion, I cant remember feeling less confident going into a home game for a long time. Spurs have not hit the heights this season, it is probably true that a few Tottenham fans got carried away after we beat Man United away earlier in the season. The fact is that score flattered us, and not only has Mourinho been shown to be no longer "special" since then but so has his team.
So where are Spurs at the moment? Probably top four material, but we are going to be fighting with Chelsea and Arsenal to get top four, I don't think there is much between my team and those teams this season (every chance Man Utd will come back as well). So all the pointers say an away win, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if that is the outcome; pains me to say it but I wouldn't be entirely surprised if we got a spanking tonight. However, I'll go to the grave as an optimistic fella so I'm going for a tight and tension filled draw.
Poch seems really down in the dumps this term. Don't think it helps your team camaraderie tbh. That pitch you'll be playing on tonight too looks atrocious, but if the mess that was your new stadium was done you wouldn't have to deal with that either.
Anyway still want Spurs to win tonight, but can't see it.
The wife has predicted a Spudz win tonight ,this attempt at augury came in the middle of a conversation/argument pertaining to handbags and I believe this very clever ruse was utilised to avert my attention from said handbags cost. I'm going for a draw myself but if they win I will buy her the fucking handbag !
Tottenham were given chances last night, City failing to take a few good chances and being a bit sloppy at the back should have let Spurs back in. Still a top 3 points for City, going to be a far more interesting title race than last season.
Cities defence all over the place in that last 15 mins and Lamela's miss when put on the proverbial platter by Ali should have given Spudz a share of the points ,still it was strangely comforting to see City with a touch of the jitters and if they carry on using Mendy then there is hope for the rest of us at least.
