Well, it is the Independent after all. They're worse than the Grauniad.

Come on Sheff Utd, you've got a great recent cup record, and Spurs will underestimate you in the first leg, no matter what their players say. (I think most Premier League players are psychologically unable to take lower league teams seriously, regardless of what their managers tell them, at least for the first 45 - 60 minutes.)

Keep it down to a one goal deficit and you've got everything to play for!

We shown a couple of seasons ago that it's doable, they should go into it with no fear and hopefully they'll get a decent result tonight.

Actually a fairly even game, United getting a lot of joy on this right hand side through JCR.

1-0 would be decent though if they can keep it at that, they'll fancy their chances at home!

it was bad because we wanted it to be and succeeded, no complaints from me.

Well, that was enthralling! Makes for an interesting second leg, hopefully Ade won't be in the starting line up and Eriksen will turn up!

Still life in this tie, no doubt about that. One error that's easily made in the spur of the moment was the difference between Sheffield Utd keeping a clean sheet.

It's all to play for! Great result for Sheff Utd flying the League 1 flag, and good luck for the return.

On a side note, how the fuck did McEvely not get a second booking for the handball?! If that's not a deliberate handball I don't know what is!
