A single unitary authority for urban Dorset
Slightly anti-climatic perhaps. Saints on a European charge.

How did Dier and Lamela escape a 3 game ban after the Chelsea game I've no idea

Lamela making the most of it as well. He's having a good game.

We won't get anything out of this game if we continue to defend like we did in that first half.

What a fucking win that was.

Forster made up for his howler right at the end.

Up the Saints.

Brilliant Southampton. Last season was difficult losing Lallana and co but they bought well. This season, Clyne, Alderweireld and Schneiderlin all depart whilst the goals of Pelle have had to be replaced since he's out of favour. Yet once again they stand on the brink of Europe. What I like is that apart from Van Dijk (who was bought in Jan), none of their summer signings have particularly contributed much. A few better summer signings from Koeman this time and I think they could push a little bit higher next year.

Our summer signings have been terrible, bar VvD who's just signed a new contract. Juanmi's flopped, Martina and Soares are very questionable in different aspects of their game, Clasie anonymous and Romeu just a squad player. While the less said about Stekelenburg and Caulker the better. Our only January signing was Austin and he hasn't had a run in the team yet, unfortunately.

I think a lot of our success has been down to Shane Long this year. He's just been a constant nuisance for opposition defences, opening up space for the other attacking players and chipping in with the odd goal. While Forster's return in goal has also helped us massively. But yeah, without the static Pelle and clown in goal, it's good to see that only Leicester and Tottenham have won more points than us in 2016.

Keeping Koeman beyond next summer needs to be the focus for this one, so I expect we'll need to make some big signings, as well as keep key players, and the new TV deal + likely European football now will hopefully help push us on.

Ahhh fair enough. Could have sworn he came in during January but must be thinking of someone else. He's been great regardless though.

Tottenham was not even a little inspired to face a Southampton team that comes rising. And the favorable goal instead of up them just turned them off even more. But well…Though it will be ridiculous after all the season they had to finish behind Arsenal and won’t be such a hard task since Newcastle doesn’t have what to fight for anymore.
