Congratulations Bury! Hope you manage to sort your off-field issues out and the fans have a less stressful time of it over the next 12 months.

What I think we are all wondering though, is did the fans invade?? Or has the ghost of 2015 finally been laid to rest?

They tried about 20 succeeded, about 100 got chucked back into the away end. One rovers supporter almost made it into the away end and was arrested .... the type of idiot who goes in to the lions den to stroke the lions.. be was lucky to be arrested he would have been torn apart .

Police and stewards handled it well tbh, really firm lesson learnt from when port vale got in the home end I think

I’ll admit that I am bitter. You’ve just won promotion at our ground, potentially at our expense, with a team of players that you literally can’t afford. You might say that the likes of Beckford haven’t featured, but you spent the significant amounts of money taking a punt on him, whereas most other teams in this division are taking punts on league one and two cast offs. You also have probably the best training ground outside of the Premier League. I’ve no idea how much that’s costs you but there’s not a chance that it came cheap.

Enjoy your promotion, I wouldn’t expect anything else and if the roles were reversed, I’d be celebrating. But don’t expect congratulations from other team or sympathy for you imminent demise.

No doubt you will find a buyer, but however deep their pockets are I would be very surprised if they’re willing to spunk up to £11M of their own money paying off your extensive debts when administration could clear a large portion of it. Having witnessed the effect administration has on creditors, a lot of who will be small companies who really cannot afford to take the hit, it’s definitely not something to be celebrated.

If someone doesn’t come in to buy the club it’d be sad to see a team like Bury go but the sooner tougher action is taken by the football league, the sooner we’ll see the end of the boom or bust approach you have adopted over recent years.

Congrats Bury, one of the best sides I've seen this season. Well deserved promotion. Hope you get a decent buyer, good club that deserves to be well run.

As for Tranmere, and Rear End Mart in particular, C U Next Thursday.

I agree totally that Danny Mayor is a quality player but he is one that should not have been on the pitch because Bury can`t afford to pay his wages. Its as simple as that. Should Bury be put into adminstration next week what will the FL do? Take points off them this season therefore taking promotion away from them or from the start of next. The FL being the bottleless shower they are will, IMO, take the easy option and allow Bury to start on a minus next season. If that happens I hope who ever finishes 4th drags them though the courts as they have every right to do.

As for Bury fans saying its not their fault they had a bad owner. I tend to agree it isn`t but it didn`t stop them from celebrating not one but two promotions earned on the back of having a squad the club didn`t have a hope in Hell of being able to pay without said bad owner and continuing to operate that way for 5 years.

Which is totally wrong as they have broken the rules this season and any reduction should be made accordingley. The League were quick enough to take 9 points off Birmingham this season and should do the same to Bury.

what was that lad going to do storm the away section on his own ? wonder if he will get a ban or something , glad it did not kick off on the pitch though after game , we would have done exactly the same as them , the lads who got on the pitch celebrated with there players and did not look to goad the tranmere lads so no problem with that , play offs next after sat swa swa

Good on ya for setting an example of how to be decent to Reremnart and one or two others. Suppose every club has a few bellends.

No just an observation of how much your cheating bunch have annoyed some of our less level headed fans. I think one or two of you might have had an indication of it on Good Friday. Our fans on the whole are the salt of the Earth but we do have our idiots and I know some of them, having heard them in pubs etc, are far from happy especially with the seat smashing incident which by the way was videoed and the culpit is pretty easy to pick out.

Having the audacity to call a Forest Green fans a snowflake and yet here you are getting upset about a few seats getting broken.

Makes you think..

So what are we supposed to do, not celebrate promotion? Mayor has been with us since 2013 there’s no evidence he’s a particularly high earner.

Have a lie down you grumpy bastard.

Couldn't get to the match so watched it on the totally rubbish ifollow app. Picture and commentary badly out of sync.
Anyway for what it's worth, my view was that we were the better side 1st half but in the 2nd Bury bossed it, and could easily have scored more than 1, so I was happy to secure the draw and play-off place. We resorted to the long ball too quickly and Banks hit a lot of misplaced passes which were intercepted. He seems to be out of for the last few games. Pringle was anonymous in the 2nd half too. Positives were Monthe, Nelson and Harris.
Very chuffed to have made the play-offs in our 1st season back and while I'm a bit worried about our recent record against FGR, over 2 legs I would hope that we are able to give a good account of ourselves, particularly if Perkins is back and fit and running the show in midfield.

Was going to come to Tranmere v FGR for the play offs but I'll opt for Lazio v Roma instead, probably safer.
Tbf every time we play FGR it must be fantastic for the neutral. Proper football with spice and drama thrown in.

You do realise that the majority of the high earners haven't featured at all this season? Mayor and O'Shea are probably the only 2.
Just the best two then.... There is no way you could have afforded that squad if you had lived within your means.

I have got nothing against the Bury fans, and certainly hope their club survives this crisis. However, the way they have won promotion leaves a sour taste. There is no incentive for clubs to behave responsibly when others can spunk money they don't have, and will never have, and avoid any serious sanctions from the football authorities.

On the pitch, they were certainly the best footballing side I have seen this season.
