Yeah I agree he is being stubborn and it will cost us this season. He has too much faith in the players we have, and maybe in his ability to make them better (which he has done with most of them tbf). There are players out there that are gettable who would instantly improve the side, rather than waiting on Keita who'll probably head someplace else anyway next season - it's a wasted opportunity imo.

Get those players in now, and we can potentially challenge this season; otherwise its going to be another year of 'potential' rather than delivery.

You should probably get him in goal.

Not saying he hasn't, just wondered which players you thought he'd made better.
Ah well that's a different question rather than a dig. :)

I think Lallana has improved significantly, he's much more influential upfront, is less flaky, and buzzes around the pitch doing terrific defensive work. Coutinho definitely has come on leaps and bounds too, and with him being moved deeper it gives him more space to strut his stuff. Unsure about Firmino if I'm honest as I just think he plays his natural game and is given the scope just to do that. Hendo when fully fit has been a revelation in the six, holding the midfield together and getting into the box more, and given the freedom to spray passes around when fully confident; he's no Gerrard, but he's still a bloody good player. Mane has come in and clicked straight away too. A bit too early to say on Salah, but having watched him at Roma a lot last season I'll see he'll fit in well and Klopp obviously saw that we were missing a bit of his predatory instinct in being in the box to nick goals also. Wijnaldum has been a sensation in midfield too though he hasn't started this season in form.

A lot of the youth players coming through look the part in Woodburn and Trent, with Kent, Ojo, Grujic and perhaps Ejaria also showing promise down the line, though its a bit too early imo (excluding Trent) for them to be first team regulars. Out of the players he's brought in, the only one that hasn't been a success has been Karius, but he's a young keeper and got plenty of time to kick on; though he currently isn't looking the keeper we thought we were getting, but then Ward is there too so not too bad there either imo.

The only two players I think who are seriously struggling are Sturridge and Origi; but its less of an issue with those two now if they can't integrate than it was last year.

We are in a healthier position every year since Klopp took over, but I don't feel we've kicked on enough particularly this window, to become the finished article.

Everton and Huddersfield looking at getting Emre Mor- the Turkish winger who plays for Dortmund, rumoured to be around 15 million

I'd be surprised if they let him go. He's not been there long and was bought as a player for the future, and he's still got in a decent number of appearances.
Maybe he's not the Turkish Messi after all.

I reckon he's closer to being the Turkish Messi than Marković is to being the Serbian Messi.

They want(ed) to get rid of him because he didn't impress in his 1st season with Borussia and he acted too selfish. Had a difficult standing under Tuchel and new coach Peter Bosz wasn't impressed either during the pre-season with his performance. Seemed that the Deal with Inter was done but then failed. So, if a good offer comes they'll let him go.

Well at least he's been making lots of saves.

Quality keeping there. Misses a punch, then can't catch a dropping ball unchallenged. He's a real talent that lad.

This isn't the matchday thread.

Getting a bit worried about Chelsea now. With a week to go we need at least three new signings (preferably double that) to be competitive this year. TICK TOCK

Saints ITK saying VVD is gone

Probably the same "Saints ITK" who said VVD to Liverpool was done last month. Bullshit in other words. Or more likely, you didn't bother to check the date and you're quoting the same claim.

Please, let us know if you have any more Liverpool transfer gossip. I live for it.

To make it worse it's now Willian being linked with Barca.

So that's Cattermole, Van Aaanholt and James Mcclean in on deadline day for a combined 74million when we panic.

You'll go for the holy trinity of Mahrez, Vardy and Drinkwater. 150mill ought to do it.
