Arter will join Cardiff on a season long loan this afternoon, currently having his medical. A deal has been reached concerning his wages and a modest loan fee.

On Diego Godin, his agent engaged in interesting tactics. Agent approached @ManUtd and said player was keen to join. United made an approach to @atletienglish but within hours, Godin signed new, improved deal worth 7.5million euros a year! Nice!

United mugged right off.

We lack a striker and defender so are after Jake Livermore...

It's almost as if we want to be relegated ..

We’re trying to get a last minute deal over the line for Danny Ings.

Would’ve preferred Sturridge (Although he’s seemingly back in the fold after West Brom), Welbeck, Alcacer or Origi.

A bit meh about this one.

As a neutral, that was one of the worst transfer windows in a long while, not sure this early finish has really improved anything. Usually it's quite exciting to watch but it's all been a bit dull.

A lot less exciting when the rest of Europe are not under pressure to sell/buy/get the deal done at the same time as the English teams...

I wish I'd been a fly on the wall when that agreement was reached!

Personally prefer it finishing, the media moan about short termism but also created deadline day as an event and spectacle. It creates over opinion from the worst fans of every club and so cutting their platform to mouth off out is appreciated from my.

It will be good next year, but it was idiotic not to align with Europe this summer. They needlessly put the English leagues at a disadvantage. Players will be poached until the 31st of August, so the benefit of having settled squads is minimal. It's probably better for teams outside the Premier League mind.

Just remove the transfer window all together, let clubs buy and sell whenever they fancy.

Surely he'd never get a game at Spurs? When he was specutaviely linked to Wolves most were dead against it. He'd not suit any team that plays a 2 man centre mid pairing as legs look completely shot.

You're probably better off asking Bristol City or Swansea fans.

Newcastle's best youth prospect for many years, Rolando Aarons, has gone on loan to some Slovakian team. Proof that Newcastle's academy is top notch.

Apparently Spurs, West Ham and Liverpool are looking at Ebere Eze from us.

Ramsey has simply outgrown Arsenal and is looking like going to Juventus or Milan.

Is it a case of Ramsey having enough of Arsenal or the other way round? I saw Arsenal withdrew a 4 year contract they had offered him.

Bet they'll be a host of top clubs bidding to get him on the cheap in Jan.
