Boro in for Januzaj.

On a side note: I noticed that the Premier League Fantasy site is back up! Anyone here big into PL Fantasy? As of late, it seems to have become monotonous since by the end of the season everyone usually ends up with the same players. Has anyone tried a draft fantasy epl league? Meaning that there's a snake draft so only one person can have Özil for example. Seems like a better format.

Now compare it to the teams you'll be competing to get to the top with, without bias.
Arsenal and City guaranteed to finish top 4. Apart from them two I don't think any other team are much better.

So it seems like the Pogba to United deal is pretty much done.

Exciting times.

If Rooney would kindly piss off we could play this front six...

Schneiderlin
Herrera--------Pogba
Mkhitaryan---------------------------------Martial
Zlatan
Well it does not get more exciting than a team paying 100 mil + for a player who they let go for free :D Still remember United fans calling him "overrated **** with a shit attitude!" And "Fergie is always right!"

Not sure about Herrera, not enough grit there. Would get torn apart through midfield. Strong attack however. What site do you guys play on?

Some rumours that Everton are after Martina from us.

Has Koeman lost the combination to this war chest or something?

The £100m thrown about by Everton a few months back was always likely a bit pie in the sky. The new part-owner obviously wanted to excite the long suffering fans with his arrival and the best way of doing that was to shout about having lots of money to spend. Perhaps it's also a little bit about them realising that telling every club you're potentially buying players off that you have a £100m kitty was a big mistake.

Everyone has £100mill to spend in this league now. Just about. That gets you about 2 half decent English players.

There's rumour here in Germany that Pep Guardiola wants Leroy Sané from Schalke 04. Transfer fee should be 50 Mio € . After next season he could go for the fixed sum of 37 Mio € and then Bayern Munich and Real Madrid would have more interest to buy him. Schalke wants at least 50 Mio € now.
Personally: I like his style but this transfer fee is insane for a 20 year old who made only 47 Bundesliga matches. But nowadays with so much money involved (especially from Premier League Clubs) this is something of normal, right?

Are there any news from Manchester City yet?

To be fair, this situation with United buying Pogba back is f**king hilarious.

Fantastic player mind.

I guarantee you're all genuinely laughing about it.

Apparently the Pogba deal will be less percentage wise in relation to turnover than the Veron and Ferdinand transfers.

Correct. Am I laughing at Pogba leaving Manchester United on a free in 2012 only to be bought back by them four years later for a reported £100m? Yes, I find that fucking hilarious and, deep down, you know you would too if it was an rival team.

Am I laughing at the prospect of Pogba playing for United next season? No, I'm not, as he's one of the best attacking midfielders in the world. United should never have let him go, think how many more years of Wayne Rooney's wages they could have paid with the saved money.

It is quite funny. £100m for a player who left you for free. HOWEVER, United have so much money it really doesn't matter.

Tbh I've got no real idea how good Pogba is. He didn't look that great in the Euros to me, but I didn't see every game and international football is different. Who does he play like?

I would if the team in question were paupers, but United are beyond filthy rich, as demonstrated in the second part of my previous post. United screwed up, so why is it a bad thing to rectify the problem? Everyone called it a huge error at the time.

Everton and Juventus have met Sissoko's asking price of €35m according to a few reports. Newcastle doing a good job at getting the money they spent last year back and then some.

To make around £60mill selling off two players from last years side is pretty fucking outstanding. It's quite baffling that their values have risen so much given just how shit both players were. It's not like they were two outstanding talents putting in great performances while everyone else dragged them down.

Even more outstanding will be Ashley not just trousering the money. I wonder if it will go back into the side for Rafa to spend. Getting back into the top flight is imperative. It's no secret it becomes more and more difficult the longer you're down there.

Wijnaldum for £25MIL is a risk and I feel the money could be spent better elsewhere. We have enough attacking midfielders as it is. This price is crap when you see Gotze going back to Dortmund for £18mil.

We've accepted a £13mil bid for Joe Allen.

I think it was telling with how much Ashley spent last year and the signings they've already made that money will be spent to return. He's played it smart.

Allen still has a lot to offer for me. Disappointed to let him go, him and Ibe for what we've just spent on Wijnaldum. Not great business.

What does Gotze have to do with it tho? Dortmund aren't part of the new PL TV deal and nor are Bayern. This is the new normal in England.

We're signing an 18 year old Belgian forward called Idris Zmimer from KSV Roeselare.
No, no idea either. Apparently the move is his "dream come true" to move to... Bournemouth...?

What an advert for working hard at a team to earn your dream move. £35m is a hilarious figure for Sissoko. Even if he didn't disappear for five months at a time, he'd not be good enough for Juventus.

£35m should be reserved for true ballers like 2011 Andy Carroll.

Yeah ive seen a table with united's most expensive signings relative to turnover and it was around 19-20 percent in 3rd place iirc. When the figures are put into context, for a club of united's size and stature it really isn't that mad especially considering the state of the inflated market for one of the most sought after talents in world football.

It's difficult to say really as his skill set is so unique. A little like yaya in the way he picks up the ball from deep driving at teams and, a good shot on him, a lot more finesse to his footwork as well as the ability to pick out an outrageous pass unlocking defences.

It is at least 10 million less than what we would earn from selling Ibe and Joe Allen. What impact did Ibe and Allen have in the team last season? Although I agree Allen improved, he still isn't good enough to be starting CM for us. Also, he only has 1 year left in his contract.

We are finally doing the right thing in transfer window imo. Welcome to Liverpool Wijnaldum!

Jonathan Calleri to West Ham. It's been said he's only waiting for his visa. Him and Payet would be an interesting pair.
