Preseason that year he did and looked electric, unfortunately he short-circuited once the term began though. Watched Spain v Argentina tonight and in his 30 mins he got 3 assists and a goal!
Yeah, he's been really good since he came back to Celta.

Aye fair play to him, he found his feet there and is probably going to the World Cup with Spain. Just never worked out at us, which has happened to too many players this last generation really.

Even Moreno is miles better than that waste of space Pags, come on now.

It's like having a philosophical debate on the differences between horse shit and donkey shit. I can't be bothered to be frank.

'Liverpool have drawn up a three-year deal for Manchester United and Belgium midfielder Marouane Fellaini, with Paris St-Germain and Monaco also interested in the 30-year-old, who is out of contract in the summer. (L'Equipe - in French)'

Strong rumours from France that Martial wont be signing a new contract and wants to leave in the summer.

Was always on the cards when Mourinho decided Sanchez would play on the left which is one of the reasons I didnt want him. I just will never get it, even if Sanchez is the better bet now, and based on what we have seen at United that isnt certain how long can you say that for. Every year Martial will get better from here while Sanchez declines. Wouldnt surprise me if in 2 years Martial is recognised as comfortably the better player.

The only way I can get behind this in the slightest is if we use the extra squad slot for a young attacking right winger which is what the squad needs given Rashford, Sanchez and Martial are all superior coming from the left. If we spunk a load of cash on Bale, Peresic or Willian this summer I will want Mourino gone no matter what trophies he wins.

Style of football including pragmitism in big games I can take, there is more than one way to skin a cat but investing in youth over established players is non negotiable for me.

Mourinho doesn't do investment in youth. Such a philosophy requires long term plans and he's never done that as a manager, hence why he's never been at a club since he left Porto for more than 3-4 years. United fans should have known this when he signed on the dotted line.

I dont think its that simple, his record isnt as bad as made out and he has shown faith in young players in his short time here. But he wont prioritise bringing youth through like Ferguson, Wenger or Klopp. If he has money to spend and feels he can make the team better by spending it even for that one year he will do it.

I personally would be happier to see him leave rather that any of Pogba, Martial or Rashford despite thinking he is doing an acceptable job.

Martial's numbers are excellent his season, he's very underrated. 9 goals and 5 assists from 16 starts and 10 sub appearances in your system isn't something you can throw away.

With Mourinho my impression is that he will give youth a chance, if he has no other option at the time and only until he can sign someone established in the position or the established individual who plays there normally comes back from injury/suspension.

I'd never want anyone coming here straight from United. Rivalries are watered down enough as it is.

Erm that's usually pretty good for rivalries Bilo. Sparks em right back up and gives something to go at before a balls kicked. Think Figo!

No, they just remind us that the players don't really give a fuck.

They never sold us Gabriel Heinze, they won't sell us Martial.

Which ain't news. But the fans do and it creates a new hate figure.
Won't happen anyway.

He's fucking amazing on FM but Mourinho will ruin him. I mean to be honest it says a lot that you've got a midfield of Pogba, Herrera and Matic (all three quality midfielders) and you're still looking for a replacement. It's not the players imo.

Is he better than his name? Given he's Brazilian and has forgone the trend of whacking 'dinho on the end of it so people can judge him on his ability rather than his marketability I'd say it's fair to suggest he's the greatest Brazilian of all time.

He even braves any association with former Lyon frontman Frederico Chaves Guedes, which just shows how confident he is.

Carrick's going and it looks like Fellaini is going too. We need two central midfielders to go into the first team.

Matic has been ok this season but I can't get by the lack of tempo he gives and the lack of authority in his passing. Against Bournemouth we got attacks going much quicker and much better with Herrera in front of the back four instead of Matic. But Herrera has been used too much as a chaser and an antagoniser since van Gaal.

Maybe Fred sounds great in Portuguese, like Ronaldo does in English even though it's really just the Portuguese version of Ronald.

I guess this belongs in here now, Wolves supposedly already gonna splash 20m on signing their loanees defender Bolly and centre forward Afobe. I think we'd be happy to do a deal on Benik.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/footbal...nd-20m-sign-willy-boly-benik-afobe-long-term/

Boly is a no brainer. Best CB in the champ by some distance, even with my tremendous bias. Still not sure on Afobe but would have him purely for his exposure to the system this year as unlike some Wolves fans I dont want whole sale Fifa Ultimate team style changes because they hope to be the next Man City/PSG moneybags fc.

“Southampton keeper Alex McCarthy is being monitored by Arsenal, Liverpool and Premier League new boys Wolves.

The 28-year-old Saint has been watched by all three, who are all looking to strengthen their goalkeeping departments.”

Just piss off Liverpool!

Fortunately, I believe Wolves would be the only club who could guarantee him to be first choice, and he isn’t going there.

Sofiane Boufal has said he wants to go back to France.

Great news. Refusing to warm up against Chelsea and then going head to head with Hughes ended his Southampton career. Great goal against WBA but overall yet another shite signing from our 'amazing' recruitment team.

Expect to see him boss it for someone else. Odd really, would have thought Hughes would have gotten something out of him for saints.

He isn't suited for the Premier League and only plays for himself. Tadic has proved the last few weeks that he is the far superior player.
