We're supposedly looking at Adam Campbell, ginger winger released by Morecambe. Methinks there's something in this as the club have been very public about getting in players with NE roots. Which is fine on the face of it..

But he's not very good, and that's the problem.

I’d rather us keep Niko if this is the alternative, done nowt his entire career.

Lad in work who is related to our coach Carl Darlington says we've bid for 2 strikers this week. 1 from FC united of manchester and 1 who scored 15+ in the national league this season. No names though

I'm guessing Kurt Willoughby and Jack Muldoon.

Did Carl Darlington not tell his "relative" the players' names then? How weird.

We were linked with Muldoon last summer. Decent player but we need better than him and some guy who was in a relegated team from the division below us. But yeah, it does sound like something we'd do.

Willoughby is exactly the sort of player I'd like to see us take a chance on.

Muldoon always struck me as distinctly average. May as well have kept Holroyd. He did score a good goal against us for Fylde I guess.

I'm hoping the fact Willoughby's recently started following our manager and one of our players on twitter and that we have a rumoured away friendly at FC United is an indicator he will be coming to us - we are due to announce 2 signings in the next week or so - which coincides with him getting back from his holiday

the only other alternative to Muldoon would be Cheek, given the disarray at Ebbsfleet

Muldoon wouldn't be a bad signing as your number two or three striker. He'll work his socks off and run all day long but he's fairly limited and won't score a load. Very good guy though.

Hes just signed for Bromley.

Maybe Alfie Rutherford from Havant he scored 15 league goals this season.

Muldoon moved from Fylde to Harrogate to be closer to home (Scunthorpe) because he was about to get married and have a kid so I can't imagine that one would be a go'er unless Wrexham are offering him something he can't refuse.

Will be offering him a mars bar and a packet of quavers...

I imagine we will be looking at someone younger and upcoming . A loanee from a league 1 or championship team perhaps .

Jack is a very good player. Certainly better than your current forwards

According to Gary Neville Salford already have new signings to announce for next season, not that anyone cares now :D

They were desperate for him in the summer, as were Fylde.

I don't expect to see much business going on at County this off season. Apart from replacing players we've already lost (Warburton) and others we may lose (Duxbury) I'd expect Jim to keep the same group of lads together that served us so well last season.

Seeing a rumour from someone seemingly in the know that we're signing a forward from FC United. Wouldn't give the name though.

seeing as they were relegated and Kurt Willoughby got 20+ goals the rumour is probably him - although given Wrexhams habit of signing strikers who can't score maybe it isn't.... because he will score at National league level whoever he ends up at.

We'll probably sign him and ruin him, like we did with Durrell and Boden who didn't do too badly after leaving.

Fans on our forum are incredibly pessimistic about him. Saying he's not proven at this level, like we're in a position to sign a proven striker in this league.
