He did, yeah. But that was before Miller and Bencherif's deadline so I suspect their wages have gone back in as well.

CM did say on the radio interview I heard that he hadn't expected them to stay so weren't really in his plans. Whether that means he knew well in advance and has already spent TM and HB wages already, I don't know but I hope not!

What did he have to say on Friday in his radio interview?

In the echo he said he was leaving some of the budget for the trialists he's bringing in for pre-season.

We have apparently signed James Rowe. Ex Tranmere, FGR's. Any good?

Really? He's a good player Rowe. I really, really rate the lad but he was frozen out by Adams and released in January. He's technically sound and can pick a pass and links up well with the forwards. However, going backwards he is next to useless and simply cannot tackle. He is lightweight and sometimes gets shoved off the ball, but if you play him in an advanced role he will hurt teams.
I think you have signed a really promising player.

Yeah Rowe looked decent, although I think it was a case of a player becoming a better player when he wasnt on the pitch for a lot of tranmere fans.

Definitely got something about him though and an eye for a goal. Don't know what formation Wrexham are planning on playing but he could only work in a 3 man midfield, too lightweight for a 2.

Transfer tit bit. Aldershot are close to signing the prolific Matthew Barnes-Homer. The striker new manager Barry Smith needs #ATFC

Not sure what to think of this, could be a good move.

He'll probably get you 8-10 goals but not much else. He's past it and I'm glad Askey didn't give him a contract offer.

To be honest, I'm surprised you're signing him, he lives in Stockport and the whole reason he took a massive wage cut to join us from Whitehawk was so he could play close to home. I would expect you're paying him quite a lot.

Can only echo other comments above, good technical ability but fairly lightweight. If you play to his strengths he could be a very useful player.

I think there's still something in there somewhere but just needs his head screwed on and enjoying himself. He put the effort in for us last season and had a good 5/6 weeks in front of goal but then they dried up again. If he's happy he'll work hard but he doesnt seem to put himself in those goal scoring positions as much as he used to.

If we sign Omar Bogle we'll win the league, I'll go on record as saying that.

Bogle would be an excellent signing but you still need to sign another 25-30 goals worth of players after that.

Our manager has come out and said he wants to bring in one more before pre season. Then he has a small group of trailists lined up where he hopes to sign a striker from. Would take our squad to 25 with those two more signings but that's with 4 youth pro's.

Lincoln 25 players, thought they were supposed to be skint...........
Not sure where IBPM has got 25 from. It'd take us to 23.

We're currently at 21, which includes 4 youths, 2 transfer/loan listed players and 2 players who are young lads on pro contracts. Of those 8, I'd expect 4 or 5 of those to leave one way or another.

Have we really got that many players? Good grief!
To think Simpson said he could manage 18 players!
As Luke says most of the youngsters will get farmed on loan to local sides bit pointless having them really.
Also says in the paper he's considerong getting lads in on youth loans like we've done before with Charlee Adams, Nick Townsend etc.

Not this again. Where are you getting this magical 25-30 number from? Bogle plus 25-30 more, as well? Place an optimistic yet conservative expectation of 15-20 goals on Bogle and you're saying we need to replace John-Lewis (16 league goals) and Palmer (6?) with 40-50 goals. I agree we need to score a few more this season, but not that much more.

Yeah I totted it up wrong. Currently at 21 players. But a first team squad of around 17 depending on how you view it.
