Harry Davies signed for Scunny this week but he confirmed we offered him a deal as well as one other National League side but he wanted to stay in EFL.

Yeah, we’re definitely in for him, was in our local paper a couple of weeks ago. Think the question was whether he actually had a future with you or the contract offer was more of a token ‘we can get a fee’.
I believe we offered him a deal to get a fee. If he signed a deal I’d imagine we’d have loaned him out.

Rumour has it Alfreton have signed former Lincoln and Mansfield striker Matt Rhead. 37 now but I suppose he will still do a job in NLN

Andy Dallas to Notts County are the rumours our end. We will be due a fee by tribunal.

Would be happy with this. Got a good write up from the Weymouth fan the other day

Zeki Fryers mentioned a fair bit on our board. Presumably nonsense as our signings rarely leak but hey.

Can’t vouch for the reliability, but heard we’re pretty close to Nicky Featherstone from Pools.

He's had offers from elsewhere (along with the other 6 OOC players) and the deadline for accepting a deal with us was Friday AFAIK, we've heard nothing from the club since promotion so I have no idea what's going on with any of them.

Featherstone was a disaster in the league for us and a part of the squad of failures that brought us down to this level, but he's really excelled in NL and dictates games on his own. I wouldn't be bothered either way if he stays or goes.

Doesn’t really fit what we usually sign age wise, but with Doyle kind-of-retiring there’s a vacancy for an experienced holding midfielder. Certainly feels more realistic than Sterry, anyway.

I would be arsed if he went. He wasn't ever used right in the league and ended up the scapegoat for loads of fans (including myself at times). I'm amazed he has stuck around so long at Pools.

He's taken reduced deal after reduced deal so I wouldn't be surprised if you're offering him 2 years and he'll take it.

Don't get me wrong I wouldn't be devastated if he left but bearing in mind we have about 2 players left its a bit of a concern but we'll see what happens.

The state of our squad is a worry but we've currently got Shelton/Holohan/Crawford across the CM all contracted for next season, for whatever reason he was terrible last time we were in League 2 and badly out of shape, I would like to see him have a full EFL season under Challinor but maybe Featherstone doesn't fancy another crack at league footy and if someone's willing to offer him more than the peanuts we're dishing out he should snap their hand off.

We can't wait forever, we have to cut these out of contract players loose if they're not willing to sign on, it's been a full week now, we have to get shifting.

Wrexham fans are frantically trying to do research into who Parky used to favour at past clubs. David Wheater and Mark Beevers mentioned so far

It looks like our best academy player Jack Hinchy is off to Brighton, something's going wrong here, I'd have expected Simon Rusk to raid their academy not let them raid ours - is Rusk a Fifth Columnist I ask myself (jokingly).

We have apparently signed Dale Gorman from Glentoran. Another midfielder added to the ranks.
Was a useful squad player for us when we won this league in 2019, ball playing midfielder. Struggled to make an impact when we got promoted though, which wasn't helped with our managerial situation at the time.

I’ve heard that is a strong possibility

Be a good signing. He’s not as good/consistent as Olaofe, but can do a similar role playing on the left pretty well. Imagine that’ll be a big old pay cut for him.

When I saw the rumours I was quite excited as he has looked impressive whenever I’ve seen Notts.

I hope these are concrete (I’m relatively confident they could be).

He’s very good when he’s on it, but probably only happens one in three games at most and suspect he’s too old to develop some consistency now. Great lad though and a lot of fun to watch when he is having a good day.

We’ll have 3 left wingers if he does sign so it will be interesting to see if he would be an automatic starter

He can play on the right as well quite happily. I think he’s probably better on the left, though. He’d be straight in as your highest paid player I would’ve thought, he was on a fortune here.

He's a good finisher, will score a few screamers for you. He's not as fast as you think he ought to be, often starts on his heels when he gets the ball. He's not at all brave physically, anything in the air he doesn't really fancy.
Think a fresh start will do him good, hope he works out for you, I was sorry but not devastated to see him leave.

Wild has just said in the local paper there’s nothing in the Hyde rumours so looks like he’s staying.
