Moyses said we'd be focusing on signing local players on permanent deals and he's been true to his word thus far to be fair. Not sure we should necessarily shrink a pool of players we can sign like that, but we'll see.

Someone I work with has just text me, He's big mates with a lass who goes out with all our players and that. She said Hearn is gutted he's left us but the offer we made him wasn't good enough but it's understandable considering he's barely played in 3 years. Like Murray said, He's got to do what's best for the football club first. She's usually quite good with this sort of thing so I'd imagine it's likely.

As Luke has said we're trying to sign locally based players, so any players in an hour's drive of Lincoln are the players we're after.

We've been offering two year deals since we came down here and thus far, off the top of my head, they've worked out well to be fair. Kyle Perry is the only one that we got stung on.

No he's shite. He had a half season with us where he was outstanding in the Conference but the first 6 months he was shocking. He had an Ok season last year back in the league, This season he has been terrible all season. Conference is his level, I think out of all our players you have signed he would be the better of them all.

Id guess we'd be in for him if we needed a CB, but as of now we already have Manny Smith. Hudson and Waterfall. With White and Tommo able to cover there too
Although imo he is a better player then Hudson and Waterfall. will end up at Lincoln, Grimsby or Barrow

Would like to think he wouldn't go to another club in this division, but if we keep hold of Pearson and sign Gowling and you offer him a fair bit more than us then you could probably get him. He's 23 though, so you'd have to pay a fee. Hopefully he'll sign what we've offered him, as I'm not confident we'll keep hold of Pearson.

Certainly would, one off if not the best central defenders down here, that said if we keep 2 of the 3 (Gowling, Pearson or Nsiala) I won't be too disappointed but would rather Pearson was one of those.

Indeed. Of all the players who's Grimsby futures are up in the air right now, he's the one I most want us to have in our starting lineup on the first day of the season. However, as Frealaf points out Toto and Gowling would still be a decent pairing. Pearson has been brilliant though, but I would not begrudge him his move up as he has more than earnt it. Good family name too, eh Stephen Samuel?

to be fair our central defence is pretty solid - we have 5 players there 2 of which would be on a par with Riley (Manny Smith and Luke Waterfall) so it would be a surprising signing if he joined as much as i would like him to
