Looks like the Echo is run by the same people who run the Grimsby Telegraph

Was going to say, the Telegraph and Echo are as bad as each other (also bearing in mind they're run by the same Company?). It's not printed in the Echo either, it was just something knocked together after a few Grimsby fans had a pop at the Hearn signing.

Slightly concerned that Lew appears to have taken it too seriously.

Ridiculous article. We've just triggered the option on Mighty Mariner's contract, so there's no way Lincoln could afford him. Never played for Mansfield, either.

Haha not at all, though if you read my last two posts you'd have seen that...

Ah right.

We've been offering two year deals since we came down here and thus far, off the top of my head, they've worked out well to be fair. Kyle Perry is the only one that we got stung on.
You could add Tony Diagne to that, awful player.

You ITK Ellis?
Would be a very good signing if we can get the kind of form he was showing at Southport a few seasons back.

Not really, friend who plays in this division was speculating along with a few others and then noticed he was following us on Twitter so put two and two together.

Incidentally some of the names on the YB in the thread about Ledsham were also similar to what he mentioned. Take of that what you will, think it's more a case of him suggesting some out of contract players who are good enough to get us out of this league rather than him knowing whether they've signed or we've approached them. Or he doesn't want to openly admit it.

Yeah noticed the twitter link myself.
Ledsham, Brogan, Cavanagh and Miller the four I have seen us linked with today and I would be really pleased with all of them.

Lot of mixed feelings from our fans on this. Focused Crawley version Fowler would be a great coup though. I think it's worth a punt, and hopefully Mills can get the best out of him.

And usually a class above in terms of trouble as well. He's a sublime talent but this will go wrong by Xmas, it always does with Fowler.

Be brilliant until Deano gets on the blower needed to be saved from relegation

Peter Cavanagh? I was surprised to see him released from Alty. He was excellent until he got injured in January. He struggled a bit after a fair few weeks off, but still a class act. He would be a decent signing.

Yeah.
Just a yellowboard rumour but somebody mentioned him and Ledsham, and the latter has alerady signed, so it could have some legs to it

We are expected to announce two signings this week according to the official site, can't tell if they just mean players signing new contracts rather than new players though

Local paper all but confirming the signing of Amari Morgan-Smith.

I know nothing of him, other than that he appears to have had quite a few injuries and doesn't have a great scoring record.

Thoughts?

AMS is a bit of an on off player. One game he'd be amazing grab a goal or two then would disappear in the next few games. I was shocked when we released him that Oldham signed as he was never good enough for that level.

Is he any good? Heard mixed reports, doesn't stand out in my memory from games against us

Wide player with a decent goalscoring record, still a good age too. Mills has signed him 3 times I believe.

A very weak rumour that we may be announcing our next signing tomorrow. The name that has tentatively been put out there is Louis Moult. Maybe it makes sense if Wrexham's transfer rumours are also true.

And he has his own clothing range called Pretty Boy.

Rodman ticks all the boxes.

I had heard he stalled on us because of Mills to Wrexham.
Count your lucky chickens. He has one good game in five and certainly wouldn't be good in an average side (no disrespect intended) where he has to roll up the sleeves and get stuck in.

REALLY doubt Moulty will be going anywhere... If he did it wouldn't be for less then a bottom line of 150k

Echo this. On his day skilful, good to watch, an eye for goal and a good shot oh him. Most days though he is lazy and either goes missing or wandering up the line fouling people. Won't miss him.
