One of the players Stubbs was believed to be bringing with him (Stokes) is in talks with Fulham. Not happening for Rotherham then.

I assume your apparent glee at anything that seems detrimental to the fortunes of Rotherham United is down to your many spats with SERNWA.

It's not really becoming for a Mod is it?

It's so obviously going to happen. Stockhausen is unveiling teaser upon teaser, I think he knows that he's already signed a deal.
If this doesn't happen now after Stockhausen's got my hopes up I'm going to hunt him down and I will not be responsible for my actions

Any info on Paul Digby Ipswich/Barnsley fans? Latest rumour at our place...although we seem to be linked with every cb going at the moment.
I've never seen him play, but he got a couple of games last season and from what I've heard he did fine. We had him on loan from Barnsley for the second half of last season and I think McCarthy likes him so I'm expecting him to sign for us this summer.

Stokes is in talks with a number of clubs including Rotherham.

Your post literally makes no sense. Being in talks with Fulham does not mean he is going to Fulham and like I said he's talking to Rotherham and a hose of other clubs too probably.

Love from SERNWA

It was more in reference to yesterday when you said about the Grabban deal being dead for us (was it ever on?) with Wednesday supposedly being interested mate.

When was the last time Rotherham acquired a player and then actually made a profit when selling them on? I see, according to Transfer Markt, that you made £20k on Revell over a two year period... that's been it over the past two years.

In fact, I'd say the Rotherham transfer policy is rubbish. Very little long term planning and investment in players, and as a result, loads of players coming in (loads and loads), and a fair few going out... but sod all profit being generated. I'd say "daft" is probably an apt description of your transfer policy and that your owner only really looks to keep the club above water as opposed to pushing on! Granted the club is obviously towards the "skint end" of the Championship, but surely investing wisely in reasonable transfer fees instead of quite literally signing every player under the sun on 1-2 year contracts might yield a better result?

Malmo signed Kari Arnason last year for 350k.
The year before that Bristol City bought Agard for 750k.

Both were signed on frees.

Know your facts.

A choice between Wednesday and Birstol City isn't a choice.

Fulham and Rotherham is a harder decision giving you have a close relationship with the Rotherham manager.

Wigan and a few other clubs in this division supposedly interested in taking Nick Powell from United permanently.

I thought I read somewhere a few months back that he'd fell out of love with the game, not sure he's the sort of player you'd want on big wages at your club anymore.

He's decent at Championship level in the few games he played for us, I'd be really surprised if we don't sign him this summer.

Apologies, I took my info from the transfer markt website. My initial point - highlighting how daft your transfer policy is - still stands though, if that's the extent of the fees generated through player sales.

Another deal looking likely, Adam Reach on a season long loan. Seems like were trying to get our business done early this year.

If he goes back out on loan then I think we'll get him. Karanka and Grayson get on well and Reach likes it here.

I think it's more likely he'll stay with Boro until January unfortunately.

Football stature wise, I agree about us and Wednesday but Grabban has spent virtually his entire career in the South. That must work in our favour. We have also signed his 'mate' Gary O'Neill who he has been tweeting as his 'great friend'. We shall see I guess.
As for the Millers / Fulham thing, I think they are still getting parachute payments so that's not going to help you WTGR. Once again, nothing is certain in this game.

Looked class in a few appearances for us. Represented England at U19 and U20 level. Still only 21 but has suffered with a lot of injuries over the past few years. Was expected to go onto a bigger club like John Stones.

We need a Left winger, but reports in the last hour says he would rather go back to Preston than Wolves.

What the fuck has happened to your lot Marky?

Once upon a time, we and most clubs in this division wouldn't stand a chance of competing with Wolves for players.

Now, you're being linked with players like Matt Smith and seem chuffed to bits. Granted, he's supposed to be half decent, but still....

I've noticed your crowds have dropped off quite a bit as well.

Summat going on down there or what?

Until we get an owner who actually knows a bit about football and who gives a fuck, we're just your average club. Morgan just leaves it to Jez Moxey, who is just happy to sell players and earn his 500k a year. No one seems chuffed about maybe signing Matt Smith, but we're not going to get anyone better the way things are.

Isn't it to do with the fact that their owner has been trying to sell them for 12 months and won't put any more money in? Wolves should be blowing the likes of city and PNE out of the water money wise but without a takeover, it just won't happen is the way I see it.
stand to be corrected though.

The two posters above me sum it up to be honest. Wolves might be a big name in football, but we certainly aren't a big club in this division in the present. If I was a player at the moment I'd be more interested in a transfer to clubs such as Bristol City or Preston rather than Wolves. With the club up for sale, there is no stability, and as you say our crowds have been shite for the last 12 months. Any half decent player who joins us will use us as a stepping stone to a bigger club, Iorfa and Hause will be gone in the next few months and we'll be back to square 1 again.

In short, we need a new owner ASAP, or relegation back to L1 is a real possibility.

Very strongly rumoured that Villa are signing or have signed Tommy Elphick from us for £3m.

Didn't play much last season mostly due to injury, but is the club captain and a huge sentimental figure for us, having been the first name on the team sheet and heroic captain through League One and Championship.

When he did play last season he wasn't great, and you only have to look at our goals against to see that Centre Back is an obvious area we will recruit in. But we all expected Tommy to return fully fit and give the PL a proper crack, as opposed to the half fit niggly injury performances he put in last season.

He isn't quick, he isn't big, he isn't particularly talented. But he will fight for everything, he will organise, he will make sure everyone else is up for the battle. Villa won't concede a goal for lack of energy or effort. And I think Villa could do with that after recent seasons.

If he isn't first choice here next season then a move to a big club, probably still playing more, and a project to work on in getting them back, makes it a tempting move I'm sure.

But we'd be sad to see him leave.

Anything at your end about a potential move for Grabban to us Mark? I can't see it personally but thought I would ask.

On transfer front, #lufc's interest in Ashley Fletcher we know about. Also told that the club are very keen on Oxford United's Kemar Roofe.

If we have Monk, keep young players and bring in this type then I'll actually have a tiny bit of optimism.

Fairly certain he gets more than that, he was the highest paid CEO in the country at one stage. Think about that, logged on to the Wolves forum for the first time in ages the other day, say we had signed a back up keeper for the below average Ikeme and then have been linked with precisely 2 players. I can't believe how quickly they put our hope back into hibernation.

Aslong as they cough up £1m.. then he will be gone.

Not sure why Barnsley would be interested in him though, after the teams performance in the play-offs. They appear to want Bradshaw and MANTOM!

Not a chance Barnsley will spend a million.

Roofe would be well worth a gamble if you've got the money, imagine he'd cost a fair wedge but massive potential there.

Desperately need an attacking, goalscoring midfielder. Whether we'll spend good money on two or three starters is another matter though as we'd need more than just Roofe.
