Ashley Fletcher to speak to another couple of clubs this week (thought to be Bristol City and Wolves I think). Apparently we're keen to get it done, though. Plus we've just taken a guy from Barnsley as our new CEO so not sure if that will contribute anything. Would be a solid start to pre-season to bring him and Antonsson in as options off Wood.
Is he expected to sign for you then? Was something in our local rag about him today, but they report any old rumour floating about social media.

Who knows tbh. We're supposed to be happy paying the compensation and the wages he wants so I think we're in with a good chance, but only a few days ago it was thought he was going to sign a new contract over there, so will just have to wait and see.

North End expected to sign Tommy Spurr (Blackburn) & Anders Lindegaard (WBA) in the next couple of days.

Lloyd Isgrove from Southampton is still a target too.

Our summer is mirroring last year as well so not going to get excited. Appointed Pearson and Cellino took a back seat, signing Wood for a few million etc. Same is happening here but we know what happened in the end.

New CEO...Going to sign a striker for between £1-2m and also linked with Fletcher, Elphick etc...although to be fair we're probably only spending money we'll receive through the sale of Taylor.

New Leeds CEO is Ben Mansford. Has split opinion at Oakwell but I liked him and he was instrumental in bringing in some of our better players in recent seasons. Bodes well for Leeds attempt to bring in Ashley Fletcher I reckon.

We're still trying to bring in George Moncur and also been linked with Sam Mantom and Tom Bradshaw. Would be happy with any or all three.

Heard rumours about Ashley Fletcher but can't see him coming here. The only incoming that is likely to happen at Wolves by the end of the month is Idrissa Sylla.

Nah, neither here - I'm not even so sure we're interested. He'll have probably signed for Leeds before the end of the week.

Jack Payne is a cracking signing for Huddersfield, meanwhile we are doing sweet FA it seems.

Quietened down for us since the start of the Euros which is to be expected. Possibly one or two announced this week though.

Alan Nixon (the god of all football reporters) seems to think we've made an offer for him. Doubt we'll get him though.

I'd be delighted if we managed to persuade fletcher to come here. Although I think he will end up at Leeds. Would be a good signing for most champ teams though.

Nothing happening with those bids you supposedly had in for two players?

Done and dusted. All the best.

According to Sunday papers, Norwich have agreed a fee of £2m for Tshibola. I would be surprised if we let him go especially at that price. I would rather get rid of Williams or Norwood than sell Tshibola. Also been told there isn't a great deal of money to be spent on transfers and we will be relying on our academy players so can't see us getting rid of our best youngster for 2mil.
Local reporters saying that a club bid £2m for him (possibly Norwich) but we've rejected it. Villa, Crystal Palace and Celtic also interested.

I'd want at absolute minimum £4m for him. 21 years old and would have been first choice for us the whole of last season had he not got injured. Great all round midfielder who still has three years left on his contract. We're supposed to be building a team around our academy players so we need to be keeping one of the best ones.

That's what's making me think it's bollocks, would be happy if we signed him as younger competition for Loovens but not at £5m. However with the new TV deal in the Premier League I can see that figure being the norm for half decent players in the Championship.

Think we all better get used to it....Burnley have turned down a £15 million Leicester bid for centre-half Michael Keane, according to Alan Nixon and today's edition of The Sun.

Brighton fans think Dunk is better than Keane so what will the Seagulls' asking price be?

£2m seems to have been accepted now, according to reports (Norwich and national)?
Loads of other clubs reportedly interested so a biding war could result if Reading hold out rather than accepting the first offer.

£15m is absolutely crazy money! (I've only seen reports of £10m, which is still crazy)

Reports of Deeney for £30m are also ridiculous.

It's quite amusing watching the list of recently released and ex QPR players flock to Rangers

Our clueless owners won't do anything as sensible as that. They go on about our academy and making use of our youth only to sell one of the most exciting prospects they currently have.

Tyler Blackett to Reading. Makes sense with the Stam link and all that.

Walsall have lost a lot of players today, seems Demetriou, Sawyers, Downing and Lalkovic have all turned down new deals, would imagine most will find a club in the Championship, probably at the likes of Barnsley / Burton / Rotherham. Sawyers should be confirmed next week for us I hear, along with a couple of others.

Lalkovic is supposedly off to a L2 club, Demetriou to Southend, and obviously Sawyers to your lot. Think they've released Mantom as well, who's supposedly attracting interest from Barnsley which doesn't surprise me.

Demetriou is off to Southend as he's an Essex boy, he didn't want to keep commuting. Apparently he told the club months back even if we were promoted he wanted to live closer to home.

Sawyers is off to the Championship, Brentford or Wigan apparently.

Downing will get a deal in League 1, we only offered him a 1 year deal which is the issue. He's a very average player. Easily replaceable.

Lalkovic expected the club to improve his offer after a good season, instead we offered him a 1 year deal. He's tricky, but inconsistent and didn't start enough game, again replaceable. No chance either Downing or Lalkovic get Champioship clubs and if they do, they won't last long.

Mantom hasn't been in contact with the club. Apparently wants a change of scene, someone that should be looking to be promoted each season, not fighting to stay up or unexpectedly chasing promotion. Coventry on the radar. Again, not good enough for the Championship based on the last 6 months.

Bradshaw and Henry will be sold to teams at this level, Henry likely above and loaned back.

We have lost a lot of players, but there's only a handful who would cut the Championship and the deals on offer to Lalkovic/Downing etc say it all.

Sawyers was offered 3 years..Mantom/Forde 2.. etc.. so the club haven't been total idiots in offering the others poor contracts, there is reasoning behind it.

Johnson hopeful of announcing another signing by the end of the week.... I wonder if it'll be Mawson? The BP reported today that Leeds are matching our interest, though.
