Glaring omissions from this list are Danny Ings and Jay Rodriguez, who unlike any of the above, are FULL England internationals. Ings scored 26 goals in 45 games in 2013/14 and was named "Championship Player of the Year" that season.

Also missing from the list is Charlie Austin, who bagged 28 in 40 games during the 2012/13 season.

Austin's "low" £4 million transfer to QPR came after a failed medical at Hull, who had agreed a £6 million fee for the player who had only one year left on his deal. Burnley had to cut their losses and sell to QPR the very day BEFORE the start of their 2013/14 promotion season. Ings took up Austin's mantle and scored double figures in the 2014/15 Premier League season before letting his contract run down. Burnley got an £8 million fee, set by a tribunal in April, because Ings was under 24.

Weren't a competition like.

Spout about ex Burnley players all you like Troy Deeney is by far the best striker that's come out of this division since Jermaine Defoe played in it for West Ham years ago.

Bristol City fans are forgetting one important thing, Kodjia is not homegrown, which lowers his price considerably.
Didn't stop Ulloa going for £8m. It's not English players with a premium, more players from English clubs.

May have forgotten a couple, sorry just the first few I thought of at work. Also I'm judging what they were worth when in the Championship, and Danny Ings and Jay Rodriguez both weren't worth 10m in for what they achieved in the Championship with Burnley, what they did in the Prem is another story.

I stand by my comment.

Brannagan is on the plane to the US, so I assume we didn't take up the offer of a loan with the guaranteed playtime clause. The right decision for me, we've got a strong central midfield already and he wasn't worth disrupting that and potentially the dressing room with the clause.

Another one that will never be seen or heard of again then.

Such a shame that you always see young talent have their head turned by the big clubs and their agents.
If I were 17 and the club I was at closed their youth academy then I would have my head turned looking elsewhere.

At 17 that money is something you can't turn down, there's nothing saying at 17 you will make it so earn it while you can.

Message from the owner is we're only looking for 1 or 2 signings for the rest of the window. That seems horribly low to me. We haven't replaced a number of players who left, mainly Bidwell, Jota, Diagouraga, Canos, Swift, and are woefully short in attacking areas.

I would say 4 players, a LB, a DM, and two wingers are an absolute must.

Got to trust the man though - he's certainly never led us wrong so far

Newcastle's transfer window has been bloody good so far, if they manage to offload Sissoko for 25M+ that will top it off.

I must admit I'm very happy with the business done so far. If we can get another centre back and a full back in - possibly a right winger too - then I'll be really content going in to August like.

Especially considering we'll have recouped (potentially) £65M in player sales.

Lescott and Richards are available.

McCormack leaving has accelerated last 24 hours it seems. Fee of £15m banded about. Bad news for us. No idea who we can try and replace him with

That's the rumour. Seems like a very non-Norwich signing though

Yes which is why we will sell but simply we will be worse off for it.

Here's a question, if your club had £15m who would you realistically spend it on?

If I was looking for a direct replacement in this country, I'd be wanting Grabban to come in which would cost 1/3 of the price that McCormack is rumoured to be going for. With £10m left over, you could fill a few other areas (ideally defensive signings for you, given your defensive record last season) and take a few gambles on younger players from lower leagues like we have done with O'Dowda and Leeds have done with Roofe.

With Wijnaldum leaving, a lot of local journos saying that we will replace him with a like for like albeit a lot less expensive.

Few names bandied about by them; Will Hughes, Ryan Mason, Che Adams, Alex Pritchard, Marco Van Ginkel and Teddy Bishop. All mentioned in the same article.

Less expensive haha. We slapped a £25m price tag on Hughes before the summer. He's going nowhere.
