Just reported on Sky saying you rejected 5.5m from Bournemouth, and that he isn't for sale.

Still 5.5m for a guy who has played 10 games, potential or not I'd take that all day long.

Seems that was the up front fee, add ons (some very unrealistic like England caps) taking it over £10m. Both clubs still in discussions

I'm split by this. The one good thing is we really don't need to sell, for the first time in a long time. He's got a long contract, and we're fine to pass FFP this year and next year. On the other, he's played 10 games and we're being offered £6m, which is an awful lot of money for us, and we've got a lot of depth at that position.

I'm happy about it as long as we get a replacement and Ledson in today. It's ridiculous money which we wouldn't get in Summer. Several times this season we've played far better without him. I don't feel upset like I did when we've lost big players in the past (Nugent, Macken, Fuller etc).

Exactly. We can't be turning down around 8 million for him really. I understand why we did to Leeds etc. not wanting to sell to a championship club. But from a Prem side? Yeah sell.
