In talks to sign Emerson Hyndman on loan from Bournemouth. Central midfield apparently. Any good? AFCB_Mark

Ah ok. Makes some sense i think. Technically talented, physically a bit lacking, he recently did well in the SPL for Rangers and earned rave reviews there. But it's hard to blood him in at PL level when it's so ruthless. Technical midfielder either sat in front of the back 4 or just off the attack.

Expect most of it is promotion addons like the Kodjia deal. Tactical masterclass from the club - you'll never see a penny of it.

Apparently will quickly rise to 4m from appearances, but you're right, a good chunk of the rest is reported as being subject to you being promoted. We live in hope...

Wouldn't count on it mate, if promotion from L1 counts you might see the money in a couple of years time.

We’ve just lost one of our most promising youngsters to Man City for £1m and there was nothing we could do to stop it as we’ve got a category 2 academy :sna: Our youth coach who’s been with us for years has said he’s the most promising he’s seen going through Town.

This is why we scrapped our academy, new rules are terrible

We've lost two coaches to them.

We’ve got a striker from the same England squad as the lad you’ve lost, been with us since aged 10 and in our main youth team despite being only 16, apparently every top club in the country are after him. We’re trying to keep him and Paul Cook wants to put him in the first team squad. But ultimately we’re powerless. I had a look at that England squad and it was about 90% made up of “big six” players. They just hoover everyone up mercilessly.

Bet Rhodes can't wait to sign for Norwich now, 20 goals a season again with that service.

You'll have to lower your price first. There's no way we can afford a £3m loan fee and his wages.

You're loaded, our chairman plays hardball so we'll see how it pans out. I've heard rumours that our transfer dealings are quite dependent on getting Rhodes off the books.

We're really not. We've been in mass cost cutting mode for over a season. The Maddison money is largely going to cover a shortfall from the huge contracts we've given to players like Naismith and Matt Jarvis.

Three million to buy him outright.

Disappointed, but £3m is too much. He isn't so good that we can break out transfer record nearly four times over. Good deal for a club like Norwich, though. He'll do well.

£3m is just the loan fee, I doubt Wednesday would sell for less than they initially paid for him which I think was £8m?

Also, seems you missed out on Marshall? Gutter that as he reportedly favoured a move back to you.

Oops. I thought they were talking about Marshall. The fee banded about for the latter is thought to be £3m, hence my confusion. Yeah very disappointed about Marshall — best delivery in the division — but we move on. Not the first time we’ve been unable to compete financially this this div, and certainly won’t be the last

Sources from Wolves say we accepted £1.5m from Norwich, apparently you offered £1.25m.

I’ve heard both of those fees as well yeah. Seems pretty ludicrous/troubling if we were unwilling to go to 1.5. Hes one of the best wide midfielders in the league on his day

Waghorn subject to speculation from the likes of Boro, Brum and Forest, no surprise really given his performances for us last season in a very average squad (16 goals, 11 assists). If he does go at least we are guaranteed an excellent profit having only paid £200,000 to Rangers for his services.

We don't need to sell him though having already brought in £4.5m this summer from the sale of Webster & Ben Knight. I can see him commanding in excess of a £5m fee which ME might find difficult to turn down - pretty damn good return on the £200k investment a year ago though; but I'd rather we offer him a newly improved contract and keep him at PR.

We’re after Joao Teixeria (ex Liverpool and Brighton) from Porto. He’s certainly a decent winger at this level, I’d be happy with that.

Interesting one. It's not Marlon Pack, which was my first fear. Don't really care who else leaves.

Vyner to Rotherham on loan was mentioned the other day but sounds like a permanent deal.

How do you know it's not Marlon JJH? He and Flinty were joined at the hip so it wouldn't surprise me. I just hope it's not Korey or COD TBH.

One of my mates is fairly close to the club and gets the odd bit of info, sent him Gregor's tweet and said if it's Marlon I'll lose the will to live and he said don't worry it isn't.

Not to say Marlon won't leave eventually though mate, everybody wants out of the sinking ship atm it seems.
