Just seen it myself, yeah he’s great. He never bullshits, it’s refreshing. Not sure if the other clubs involved will like it though

That presser does not make good reading for us, injuries, competing with league one clubs for players, not seeing any of the Lookman money.

We’re doomed already. Just going to be a case of going round the country getting pissed and enjoying our year’s break from the Checkatrade trophy I think.
I personally don't care, but yeah as you say sure the club won't be too happy with it

Hope you manage to get a few in, sounds like we won't be able to get Dijksteel which is a shame as I quite like the look of him from what I've seen.

Burton managed to stay up, squad doesn't look good on paper but if they're organised and a bastard to play against then they'll have a shot.

We are about to sign some Gk from France for £4m called Brice Samba

Don’t know why when we have Muric but I guess longer term we need a better GK and this lad seems to be seriously highly rated

Hope Muric spends the season on the bench.

Pass me a lemon.

Surely City had certain assurances regarding playing time when they agreed to lend him you...

Woodman joins Swansea an all SF

Aye, I reckon we were the other club, they beat us to signing Bidwell too.

Just shows why we make use of the lower leagues and unproven potential, just can't compete when other Championship clubs are in for a player and offering better wages.

Supposedly we're after a Prem keeper but again probably won't offer enough in terms of a wage contribution.

Just looked that Brice Samba up and he's 25 years old with a grand total of 12 first team appearances to his name. Market is fucked.

£4M after 12 games? WTF?
Then again, we sold Lloyd Kelly for a lot more than that after just 34 games.
The market is absolutely fucked as you say, crazy money being thrown around and we're included in that.

Yeah he did play a full season for Caen to be fair but I'd still be worried if we were forking that out for him.

Yeah think this lad is a longer term option as we won’t have Muric longer than this year I assume

Yeah his wiki stats are wrong. Can’t profess to knowing anything about him but reviews seem good.

Ah well, not my money so let’s see what he brings. Will probably end up at Olympiakos for £7m in Jan

Been getting into the statistics side of the game recently (apparently I have gone all Brentford). Of the 20 goalkeepers who conceded the most goals last season in Ligue 1 (a few teams had 2 in there) Brice Samba had the second best XGC improvement. So he was expected to concede 65.13, but beat that by 11.13 as they conceded 54. He was only beat by Walter Benitez at Nice who beat his XGC by 11.33.

So going by one extremely basic number, he was fantastic last season.

If anyone cares last season the best keepers in terms of improvement over the XGC last season in the championship were Randolph, Pantilimon and Westwood.

Does XGC include shots missed by the opposition (I.e missed the target) or just shots on target? It’s a useful stat but lots of different variables can affect it.

Its only against shots on target which I guess has pros and cons. But as people often say there keeper is a good shot stopper, this would prove that I guess.

Last season the worst in the same category were Carson, Bentley and Krul. I watch championship highlights but havnt followed indiviudal teams closely enough to know if that matches their thoughts on the keepers.

Yep. Bentley was pretty bad last year, though some of our defending definitely didn’t help him.
