Still more interesting to talk about transfers out than in at Ipswich: Tyrone Mings now odds on to go to Bournemouth.

Darryl Lachman signed from Twente for an undisclosed fee, centre half, i know very little about him except he's a big unit!

Definitely a lot more money being thrown around than the last time we were in this league four years ago :£

How do you feel about Pitman and Fraser now they both seem nailed on to be with us next season?
Pitman is a decent signing, gives us a bit more depth up front. Don't know much about Fraser but on paper sounds like a good signing too.

Is David McGoldrick still in MM's plans? Always rated him for this division.

Indeed, Mick's come out and said he's sat him down and asked him what he wanted... He's said he wants to stay and prove how good a player he is again. So unless something silly comes along, and he's fit... he'll feature this season. Fingers crossed.

I'm over the moon with that deal! How on earth Bournemouth felt Mings was worth 8m I'll never know, no way is he double what Cresswell was worth last season!
We don't even need to find a replacement for Mings we've for Parr!

Lewis Buxton joins Rotherham, good solid pro and I think he will do well for them if he stays fit.

Yeah I'm happy with Buxton. Tried getting him in January. Good solid signing for where we are right now.

Ryan Fraser looked awesome at Forest this season. Quick, skilful and was their best player on the day for me

Signed Steven Reid and Dave Beasant to our backroom staff.

Hopefully they've packed their boots as we might need them for the first team!

If Buxton stays fit he's one of the better right backs in the league, his crossing is excellent. It's just the keeping him fit...

Wow, that is fantastic for Ipswish if true, 8 million plus Pitman and Fraser is a brilliant deal.

You never know - wasn't Beasant on the bench for Stevenage last season? Ridiculous career he's had. Played (very capably) for us in the early 2000s, but made his professional debut in the 70s. Still struggle to get my head around that.

Bournemouth want Johnny Russell again apparently. If they're throwing large sums about, they can have him.

Cardiff were told the other day he wasn't for sale, but I'm sure there is an amount which is too good ro refuse.

I'd rather keep him, but if the money is there then take it.

Also Eric Steele is going

The mighty Rams!!!
More than happy for Russell to leave. Think that our system is changing against different opposition and that requires a more intelligent style player.

Russell is good at running in straight lines but he can't mix it up with quick passing or possession football. I'm still not sure what his actual asset is as a winger/front 3. Therefore I'm happy for him to move on with say Keogh and Hendrick to make way for the players who have come in and those to come in.

Super_horns Local paper today is suggesting that we are interested in a loan move for Tommie Hoban.

Anything your end?

Been offline a while and have lots to catchup on it seems!

Fraser, all pace. So so fast, end product varies wildly. Superb player to have on the bench for impact, but not yet mature and consistent enough for starting every week.

Pitman is a legend for us, his goals in all 3 divisions have done so much for us. A born goalscorer. His contribution outside the box used to be little but has vastly improved as he's aged. Bottom line: give him the ball the box and he'll stick it in the net.

They both were our go to attacking changes from the bench last season and they also started a fair few. Sorry to lose both and hope they'll do well for Ipswich.

Talk that the Fraser deal is a loan and Pitman a transfer, is that right? I'm not exactly on top of the news at the mo.

Seems like Dale Jennings to MK is happening, Pete O'Rourke of SSN has tweeted he is having talks with us.
I'm happy with this on the basis of his loan spell with us in 13/14, as long as we can get him fit then I think it's a cracking deal
