I think we can safely say the Mousset deal is dead. Sevilla in the Champions League or City? Hmmmm! :ffs:

If you're going on the tweet mentioned on OTIB it looks almost certainly a fake account.

Is there any piece of transfer news anyone wants to report that isn't related to Bristol City?
I saw that wolves were in for a Barnsley player, I forgot who though

If you're going on the tweet mentioned on OTIB it looks almost certainly a fake account.
That was a fake account, but since the start of May Mousset has been linked with Galatasaray, Fenerbache, Torino and Bologna. The 2 English clubs he has been linked to are us and Bournemouth

£2m in for Dack as Josh said. Tomlin deal dead in the water then I presume.

That Dack deal is odd, Ayling got put out for the race incident yet & the whole family image the club are going for why are they going against everything to sign a bloke who was sat in the corner masturbating when some bird was getting raped?

Dack isn't for me as a footballer or a human being

So the two deals Nixon says were happening, aren't happening.

What a fucking surprise.

This isn't a wind up but why don't Bristol City go for realistic targets? I know from interactions with fans on here you think your a sleeping giant but in reality your not a pull in the slightest.

Best you can hope for is to throw Dack and Hammill, top end league one players and hope for the best, I'd be worried that your board seemingly haven't remembered what happened last summer and your manager simply doesn't have any contacts to tap into apart from Barnsley.

I am very aware of what Bristol City is as a club much like you are aware what Rotherham is like.

It's not that the players won't go it's the wages are shit

Just had a look on their forum and I quote "Sheff Wed would be a side step for Kodjia"

This Fletcher could be coming in on a permanent if it happens, which would be a good move based on what I've heard.

People are morons. Some Derby fans think that they'd get Kodjia for £500k less than we signed him for last summer. People who don't follow other teams than their own say daft things, best just to laugh it off.

He's very raw, but he's looked good whenever I've watched him. Could play off Wood I imagine, did similar with Winnall at Barnsley.

We haven't had a young, goalscorer with potential for a long time so it would be a step in the right direction. Not sure how Monk will set us up but we need someone like Fletcher and probably another big man for when Wood's unavailable (although he's not a target man really himself).

Yes I do, and there's a lot of morons. I'm not sure why you're surprised, most individual club fan forums are incredibly biased and a cringeworthy read.

Like I said, Lansdown keeps talking PL, not going to get there if he's not willing to spend the money so may as well take the approach of players like Hammill and Brownhill. How ambitious....

I think Monk will do well if given time. I read on Twitter that a few of your players were critical for Evans, his training and the way he set up the team - you've got more chance of keeping Cook, Taylor and developing those sort of players under a young head coach.
I agree. Problem being that ultimately however much they like Monk and vice versa, it won't stop them being sold if Cellino wants it to happen. Cook's contract runs out next year and hasn't been offered a new one (see all of our other best players from years gone by) and it's still rumoured to contain a £5m buyout clause despite the club denying it earlier this year. I can see him going but if we lose him and Taylor then we're never going to get out of this division at the right end because we never keep them long enough to pair them with other good players capable of building a promotion challenge.

Embarrassing.

To even try and compare you to them is just unthinkable.

They truly believe they're summat after one season of beating the likes of Fleetwood and Colchester every week.
One quote, yes one, and you tar everyone with the same brush!

No wonder you constantly talk shite, your tongue in constantly entrenched in the owls backside.

Now calm down and wait and see what happens, let the facts speak the truth before declaring you're the all knowing all seeing demigod of everything football related, because it is patently clear you are not.

Article in the post just says Gillingham are holding out for £2m, nothing about a bid on our part.

And reading it, it's just a load of empty words with nothing in the way of substance, like most of the stuff in there. Basically: "City were interested in him last January, they're looking for a player in that position, this could be a thing that happens."

Just because we are in for Dack doesn't mean we won't be in for Tomlin. Can cover two different positions.

Don't think we will sign either but that's because I'm a pessimistic fuck.

I thought Lansdown would be wise enough to cough up for Tomlin, but it seems he won't do so.

Dack's just a story from January that's been rebranded, waste of time.

A single unitary authority for urban Dorset
For now, Lansdown can let Tomlin think. LT would be entitled to sit on his wage here of course, and accept being farmed out on loan. Or he could join a club he's had 4-5 successful months with.
Given the money sloshing around the Championship for proven good players these days, I'm sure somebody at this level will take on the gamble at some point later in the summer, he would be a go-to option for anyone scrambling for a signing come August. That would up the ante for Lansdown to cough up the wages or miss out.

Mulgrew was wank last time he was in the Championship, couldn't even get ahead of a 34 year old Jackie McNamara. Of course he looks a world beater in the SPL.

Is there proof we haven't coughed up the money? Or arnt going too? He's away on honeymoon so nothing can really be sorted/ announced.

It's time for Lansdown to put up or shut up. Fed up of hearing about the pl and then not taking the odd gamble to achieve it.

Time will tell. Bring on the euros so we have something else to focus on.

You won't find a City fan on here that doesn't appreciate what a big club you are Walkley. Don't take our forum as representative of all our support.

It's not on every thread, we're currently getting linked with a player every day, it gets posted in here and discussed. No-one's forcing you to read it, no-one's preventing you from posting your own content in here, I'm happy to discuss any other team as are all the other City fans on here - otherwise they'd be on OTIB.

You not carrying them on?

Little point in the rest of us posting owt as your lot just envelope the thread discussing whether Lansdown will be making his magical mystery bids again.

And no I'm not carrying it on.

It's been discussed for the last 3/4 days Walkley, there's nothing else going on at this time of year, didn't have you down as one to throw a mardy at a bit of discussion between us. If there was anything else to talk about, we would do.

Why's that?
