I understand this point of view but hold a different one. If he's asking for more than we can afford, say no and move on. He's good, don't get me wrong but he's not worth putting the club into (familiar) financial trouble for. If we can't afford him or he won't accept our offer, say thanks for last season and move on. If earning very high money is his motivation maybe he's not for us?
Other options out there for us, who will be on 1/3 of the wages. Dack's an example.

I really, really struggle to see how this deal can develop now - especially with the way he's been loud mouthing on social media as well, the club will be properly fucked off by that and all.

Ugh, time to move on seemingly - let's just get Canos signed before I and others have a meltdown.

What the fuck Lansdown? To get to the BPL (which is apparently the goal) we have to splash out a bit...

Just moved the latest series of posts this morning to the unofficial City thread. If us City fans could only discuss transfers in here, it would be greatly appreciated, especially from the fans of other clubs on here.

Cheers.

Haven't heard of the Leonard link, but is Coker any good? And how much would he cost? I'm not sure he'll be first choice for us, but there is the potential for him to be.
He is good for us. Very good at getting forward and putting the ball in the box. I reckon 250k would get you him. He has 2 years and an option of a third left on his deal so we're in a pretty strong position.

Canos to Norwich. Gave up on this summer already now, going to bury my head in the sand until August comes.

After last year you should of learned not to get your hopes up. That being said he's not agreed to join Norwich yet.

I'm past getting excited about potential signings. If there good enough to get really excited about, they're probably not going to sign for Bristol City.

Sawyers, Egan and Bentley will be announced on Friday so I'm told. We haven't been able to negotiate the compensation for Egan or Bentley, so they'll go to tribunal.

Not much else on the radar at the moment. Club are keeping an eye out on potential left back replacements if Bidwell is sold (I'd hope for Rico Henry but not heard anything) and we're looking for another winger and a DM, probably on loan. That would complete our summer barring any departures.

Sadly seems there is no chance of Jota coming back this summer either so it's unlikely we'll see him till next year. Massive shame such a talented player, missed him so much last year.

Not seen how Ryan Gauld has got on since his move to Sporting Lisbon but remember him being brilliant at Dundee United a couple of years back, when he was just a kid. We need a winger or two so he's definitely worth the gamble if he's cheap enough.

Our first new signing of the summer, Lukas Talbro, a 17 year old Danish CB from Odense. Will play for our development squad this coming season.

Sawyers had a medical with us today. All looking good for unveiling on Friday.

Looks like Gauld would be costly if we sign him permanently considering his €50M buy out clause, a loan would suit both parties I expect.

Just seen Celtic have signed Moussa Dembele from Fulham as well, what a signing that is for them. He'll tear the SPL a new one.

In for Ekstrand. So are Leeds and Reading. Sigh.

I wouldn't mind Ekstrand at Wednesday, be fairly cheap and he'd be quality competition for Loovens and Lees.

Phil Hay suggesting you're the favourites. Not that that seems to matter with you boys...

I'd take him for sure.

Supposed to be signing Anthony Forde whos out of contract from Walsall, apparently he's had a medical earlier today and probably be signed tomorrow if it all goes to plan.

Quality signing for them. Bit surprising that he has gone there, was expecting someone like Villa to take a stab at him, but it's a great statement of intent by Celtic. Looked very very good in both games against us this season.

SERNWA back again, after being told about Kaciniclik on a wind up by my mate at club, which to be fair he had me on, despite him already being signed by Nantes.

Some concrete info, Anthony Forde has signed from Wallsall, bid has been increased for Bradshaw and a large bid for Lee Gregory has gone in.

Tony Stewart is going for it.

First Wednesday mention of Lee Tomlin. He has not signed for Bristol City yet.

We enquired about Tom Bradshaw earlier in the summer but think we were put off by the price, seems like Matty Taylor from Bristol Rovers is our main target now.

Still waiting on Anders Lindegaard to be announced, supposedly a done deal but he's still away on holiday.

We were quoted £2m for Gregory by Millwall, fuck that.

We've said fuck all, I wouldn't want the thundercunt anyway.

Matz Sels signs for Newcastle. Likely that Krul will leave and Darlow will go on loan.

And in talks with Dwight Gayle. It's all beginning to happen, just got to get rid of the masses of dead wood lying around the changing room.

He means the first mention of Tomlin today...which is Wedesday. He's not linking him with SWFC.
