So Tom Bradshaw is apparently worth 250k + add ons, but were talking 7 figure fees for Jonson Clarke Harris?

I know who'd I rather have...

One's scored goals at this level, the other hasn't. The one who has is younger.

Plus I never said Bradshaw was worth that, just highlighting our bid.

It's not though is it, not one shred of evidence to support that.

Various Journo's and people close to our club have tweeted our bids for Bradshaw and Gregory for a start, articles all over.

Yet none when you bid £1m for him?
A few national journalists actually tweeted about it, but it went under the radar due to the amount of ongoings at deadline day.

I'm not making it up, nor do you have to believe me; but I think you'll be in for a shock if you think Walsall will bend over backwards and accept a derisory bid for a player of theirs.

If we go as high as we have for Gregory our bids will be far from derisory.

Then you'll be able to capture him, if the money you offer is right.

FWIW I think Bradshaw would be a better bet than Gregory.

Joel Lynch departs for QPR, allegedly £750k upfront rising to £1.2million depending on appearances

He has been immediately replaced by 1860 Munich captain Christopher Schindler for a club record fee, around £1.8 million. We have spent over £1million only twice before - Marcus Stewart and Nahki Wells.

That means 3 of our back 4 are German and they were all captains at their former clubs. Just need a German right back to complete the set

So the Wolves job is more appealing than the Spanish job...

Our two Summer signings so far have both been Dutch and born on February 13th.

If they are our requirements I expect to see Memphis Depay and Kevin Strootman here by the end of the window.

Upset he left?

Very happy with that fee for a player in the last year of his contract.

Always liked him and been our best defender for years now, but that's not saying much. He's always been rumoured to be a bit of sulk, so I'm not gutted to see him go considering he's been part of an awful defence for a while now.

We meanwhile are a massive unknown prospect this season. 6 signings from abroad, never seen anything like it. Putting a hell of a lot of trust in Wagner, but at least it's exciting..

Anthony Forde has officially joined eventually. Quite pleased with that, nice to sign someone young and hopefully talented.

Probably more important is that Andy Holden has left Hibs to rejoin Alan Stubbs as first team coach.
We'll see.

I liked Forde a lot. Very hard worker and will always put a shift in.

Won't be challenging for a first team place though. He only really put in any kind of real form towards the last 6 months of his contract and even then his end product was lacking. He'll be good in time but I wouldn't be surprised to see him loaned back to League 1 at some point.

Reece Burke to Wigan doing the rounds again, this time the source is coming from the West Ham end, hopefully it has legs. Oh and Hamburg fans have started a petition to sign Will Grigg. According to them he would cost 1.2 million...

Starting to hope some stupid Chinese club come in and offer 10 million for him based on his newly found superstar status. Drop in the ocean for those trillionaires.

Is Pringle good enough for the Championship? definite interest on our side it seems.

Forde was decent at Wolves, one of an endless list of players that wasn't given a chance and let down by the clubs management crisis at the time. Remember being at the Emirates for his debut at Arsenal and he was our best player on the day. Can see him doing the business at this level.

On other news (sorry not really transfer related it's the only thing happening at Wolves) Spanish media seem adamant about this billionaire takeover and new manager. If this is true then expect us to be a powerhouse in the transfer market this summer. Could all happen as soon as next week.

I like Pringle a lot, was excellent in his Rotherham days. He's a bit like Freeman in that he was excellent in L1, but is yet to cut it in the Championship. Massive potential there with him if Grayson can get the best out of him, I'd be well happy if we signed him.

Ben Pringle was mostly great for us, although he did seem to find the Championship hard work at times as the better defenders did suss him out.
I few supporters were getting on his back a bit and he didn't renew his contact at the end of that season, but the promotion winning team was falling apart by that stage so it was no surprise he went.

When it's his day there aren't many better left sided crossers of the ball in this league, but he has little pace and good defenders play on that.
Would I want him back?
Probably, but I honestly don't know whether it would be for sentimental reasons rather than a logical one.

He will always be the original Pig killer to Millers fans and is guaranteed a warm welcome back at the NYS whenever he comes home.
Sorry Walkley. :hypo:

A single unitary authority for urban Dorset
Matt Ritchie to Newcastle, 10m.

Threw a strop after West Ham came in and we rejected. Since then Howe has openly touted him, Newcastle were immediately interested. Due up there for talks currently.

If it completes, Newcastle get a proven superb championship attacking player (and decent but hit and miss at PL level for when they get promoted), we get someone who sadly no longer wants to be here out of the way, with a reasonable fee. Ritchie gets a pay rise and a bigger club. Probably works well all round.

Id say he's championship standard myself, he lacks alot of pace though and a bit inconsistent at times otherwise he would be playing in the premier league or for a top championship team at least with the amount of assists he provides. His crossing is premier league quality and his work rate is decent aswel, also got a great shot on him from long range, scored a few beauties for us.

Gone quite quiet at this end on that, local journos have said it's going well but I'm worried in case there's any stalling as I know what we're like, or have been like in the past.

As you've said yourself, I'll be really happy with this myself as it not only improves our options upfront but has proven ability at this level, something that we're possibly lacking within our current crop.

He seems like the type of player we need (not the strop part). Consistent and knows the league while still relatively young. Should be a good partner for Hall.

Sounds like a left-footed Paul Gallagher.
