I'd take that if I were Derby to be honest. But is Darikwa better than Cyrus Christie?
I wouldn't say so, but Tarkowski is better than any other centre half they have at the club. It's reportedly been rejected.

A lot of Derby fans are saying Hendrick is happy and wants to stay at the club - so why are Burnley making pointless bids when the player won't move anyway?

That's the third bid rejected - seems a complete waste of time and effort for everyone concerned.

"In excess of £7 million" would be a record fee for Derby, I am led to believe, beating the Seth Johnson sale.

As in Wolves best midfielder? What's happened there then. I thought they'd try their best to keep him now they've been taken over?

You spending all of Ross McCormacks money on Kevin McDonald? ;)

Yeah he was our best midfielder. Totally bemused by this transfer, but it's obvious he fell out with KJ sometime around Christmas time. Another reason why KJ is not the man to take Wolves forward.

No doubt he will come back to haunt us. Fulham have got a bargain here.

Very cheap for a player of his calibre. He is one of few players that can change a game in this league with a moment of quality. He will certainly be missed here.

But isn't it common knowledge ( well you make it sound like it is) that Jackett isn't going to be around in the near future?
So wouldn't he think about staying?

Will Vaulks confirmed on a 3 year deal for 400k.

Have that dingles, spent up on Bradshaw and we're just started.

Scottish lower leagues watch out.

Reports say he'll be sacked in the next few days, probably Monday as the new owners have organised a press conference. I think since it has become public knowledge that we were rejected by Julen Lopetetugi, his position is now untenable. Steve Bruce would be perfect, but doubt he will come.

I find it weird why he wouldn't stick around is all, if it was down to KJ.

And why has he been let go so cheap now you've been taken over? Seems a strange one.

If KJ was large part of the reason for McDonald leaving, would if not have made more sense to get rid first?

Why have Kevin McDonald when you can afford Iniesta?

Liam Moore wanted by Reading. Probably why he's been stalling on the move to Rovrum.

I'm all for getting behind academy products but 7 million+ for Jeff Hendrick is absurd IMO. Especially when you look a few posts above and see Kevin McDonald going for just over 1 million. Madness. Like Lancy says, he'd be a record sale for us so I'd gamble on him not fulfilling his valuation potential and sell up. I like him but he's probably been the most frustrating player to watch at the club over the past 4/5 years. Maybe the books aren't as tight as first thought despite spending 20+ million last year....

I'd be sad to see either him or Russell leave but they are just good, Championship standard players who should be easily replaced if they were to depart.

God, how embarrassing that a Bristolian journalist did a big peice on Will Vaulks and talking him up as a signing for little Rotherham to get in there and do the deal instead.

Strange one to me too. I would have wanted a lot more than 1.25m for him. 12 months ago we were talking about him captaining us to the PL one day, and building the team around him. Now we get rid of him on the cheap. Something has gone wrong behind the scenes for this to happen.

If KJ was large part of the reason for McDonald leaving, would if not have made more sense to get rid first?

Would have thought so mate. Many Wolves fans were hoping if the takeover would mean getting rid of Jackett and keeping Kevin McDonald. I think maybe the lure of London was what made him want to leave.

We already have the English Iniesta, he's called Jack Price :)

Who did that? And when were we linked with him? We don't need some Scottish gamble in the middle, we have four fanastic options.

He's not stalling.

Leicester want to sell, we want to loan ideally. Simple.
Reading will probably pay the cheap fee then.

Here we go, he's back to his 'anti Bristol City' agenda. Just ignore him lads, he's on one today.
We must have done something really bad to him at some point. I wonder if a City fan trod on his kitten or something?

According to you, all our midfield are shit, Kodjia's shit, our €3M Icelandic defender's shit etc etc. It's a bit boring bud WTGR.
We were never in for Vaulks by the way, the journo just does a weekly article on all the rumours.
