That second picture makes me convinced it's Anton Ferdinand. Looks even less like Mariappa than the first picture.

Looks a bit like Jermaine Pennant.

Buxton deal done, will probably be announced tomorrow. Apparently sniffing around Joe Garner as well, I don't think the papers realise that our days of paying 7 figure fees for 28 year olds with no resale value are over.

We also might be losing Jason Pearce, Charlton are interested and he's a Londoner. That would be an huge blow for me. Our best defender and a real leader for us.

The Garner thing is bullshit. Apparently you've offered £1million which is never gonna be enough.

Sheffield Wednesday in for Almen Abdi - if he can keep fully fit that would be an excellent signing for them.

As good as 1FF really.

Yes please, another goalscoring midfielder would be most welcome. What kind of money would you be expecting?

Never gonna be enough? What exactly are you expecting for a 28 year old coming off the back of 6 goals in 44 games and whose record playing Championship football stands at 22 goals in 131 games. Of course it's BS because we wouldn't be stupid enough to pay that sort of money for a striker with that awful record. We'd be the laughing stock of the Championship!

Signing Ivan Lucic a 21 year goal keeper from Bayer Munich tomorrow. He been on trial but playing for Cheltenham against us tonight. Some much needed match practice by the sounds of it.

Can take a cracking free kick apparently.......

Well probably be a million or so as he is older than 1FF and more injury prone.

He's better than both your current strikers by some distance though.

This rumour is utter bollocks mind but he's worth a lot more to us than clubs will probably be willing to pay. His League One record alone puts his valuation over a million when players like Nicky Ajose are going for £800k.

Signed Lloyd dyer.
Couldn't tell you if he is any good.
I got excited at first, but then I realised I was imagining Nathan dyer.
Oh well.
As Aaron said the other day, was superb for Leicester in 13/14. Could do very well for you.

Micah Richards set to undergo medical at Sunderland tomorrow after they activated his £5m release clause from Villa. Expect the Matthews deal to go through swiftly after, hopefully Moyes can do his long time pal Lansdown a favour price-wise.

Rumours of another bid from Burnley for Hendrick. £10m. We have to accept that, surely?

Having said that, Talksport were reporting this afternoon that we'd rejected another bid so...

:sb:

Reckon they'd go for it if we chucked Guzan and Lescott in for free?

Lloyd Dyer made a few important contributions as a substitute during Burnley's successful promotion run-in, notably in a 1-1 home draw with Middlesbrough and a 2-1 win at Birmingham.

Could do well at Burton but probably not a 90-minute man any more at 33/34.

With Fosun's chairman Guo Guangchang reported to have a personal wealth of £4bn, the question over how much money will be invested into Wolves was also addressed by the club's new owners.

Shi said: "Our capacity for investment is huge - any investment into the club will not be a problem.

"For players, £20m to £30m is a necessity and I hope we can put more in. We need to find the right players in the right positions to help the club and we have to be smart.

"Before the start of the season I hope we will have five to eight new players."

Busy fortnight expected for us then...

Joleon Lescott, Leandro Bacuna and Brad Guzan are available.

I liked Lescott until he went to WBA, judas c***.

From when I went to Villa games with a mate in the last few seasons Bacuna can hit a great free kick but sod all else.

Guzan is decent isn't he? Solid keeper at this level surely.

Lescott is a useless fuck.

Bacuna's free kicks are overrated, scored a screamer against Man City once and lived off it ever since.

Guzan is shocking. A howler a game generally at minimum last season, quite often capitalised upon too. There's a reason we signed Gollini!

"We need lots of players and have a shit load of dosh to spend"

The phone lines at Wolves are going to be jammed solid for the next fortnight with agents desperate to get their player a slice of that pie!

And good luck to em, should be a good west midlands battle this season.
