Agree, don't think many Wolves fans will have a bad word to say about Golbourne. Sure he wasn't spectacular but he was a solid 6/7 out of 10 every game for us if I remember.

Then again I remember Bristol City fans didn't rate Cunningham who went to PNE so maybe it's a Bristol thing
Don't think you'd find many who didn't rate Cunningham, was just a case when we sold him we were playing with wing backs for which Bryan was better than Cunningham, Greg was still very good but was better suited to a back 4 when he was with us.

Eh? We all loved Cunningham, was one of our only competent championship players in 2013/14.

Golbourne's shit, can't believe you got £300k for us out of him, mugged us right off. Offers absolutely nothing in any sense as a full back.
Golbourne's not shit, just plain average.

Fair enough about Cunningham, just remember people raving about him since he moved to Preston.

He any good? We do need another striker to challenge Zohore next season

If you can keep him fit for a full season then i reckon you'll get 15 to 20 goals out of him. He was a bit injury prone the season before last but he kept himself injury free almost the entire season this campaign.

He used to be a winger but his finishing has improved a hell of alot so he's more of a central striker now who can also hold the ball up with his strength and run in behind with his power and speed, also is work rate is brilliant as well at times. His weakness for me is sometimes he lacks composure and he doesn't turn his man sharp enough but other than that i think you have a good player who will get goals and assists.

Actually sounds an awful lot like Zohore then, not a bad thing at all really. Seen the free is supposedly £1 million which these days is small change.

With all the talk about Flint, we have also been linked to Marc Roberts. Who would you prefer?

Kevin O'Connor LB from Cork on his way.

Reading good things about him, 22yr old attacking left back, bit of a set piece specialist.

Means we don't have to play Spurr as a wing back, he can play left midfield too.

Hopefully he's back up to Cunningham and not a replacement.

Andi Weimann's permanent move to Wolves is off according to a few papers this morning. Not really surprising due to the managerial changes.

Villa would be no good for Flint. Unless you're going to a back three I don't think he'd displace Chester or Baker.

Baker's immense, wish we'd have landed him permanently.

We are after Angel from Real Zaragoza. Got 21 goals last year. Apparently Villa are looking to hijack the deal. He is available on a free as his contract is expiring.

I'm hoping if it's a replacement for anybody it's Spurr, I know him and Grayson had a falling out at one point last season although there didn't seem to be any problems at the end of the season.

This however could just be a cheap signing that enables us to move Spurr into the middle, which for me is his best position. We've then got O'Connor as a replacement for Cunningham when he get's injured etc.

The Republic of Ireland should start playing their friendlies at Deepdale, it will save them a fortune in flights.

Hopefully, I don't mind Spurr and I think he had some good games last season but wouldn't be bothered if we moved him on for a younger, better replacement.

God no, we tried that experiment a few times, it doesn't go well. I think we'd be signing him as a back-up to Baker tbh, basically our Elphick replacement, as Baker is injury prone, and from what I've seen/heard of Flint is he's a slightly inferior version of Baker.

Flint's not really anything like Baker in fairness mate but they complimented each other well. It's a shame they were playing alongside shit full backs here as it was a superb partnership for this level, one of the best. That's not unfounded either, they were keeping Liam Moore and Jason Pearce out of the side, both of whom have had very good seasons in top half sides this year.

Don't reckon Flint will go Villa cos I don't think you'd pay that much for a CB but if you're willing to he'd probably go as Kodjia did.

Couple of people separately told me that they'd seen Spurr in pubs in Leyland slagging off Grayson towards the end of the season cos he wasn't getting a game.

Liam Moore was our 4th choice CB when we had him on loan just before you guys did. He's nothing special.

Didn't say he was but he's had a great season for Reading.

Yeh. Disappointed in this tbh. Thought he was excellent. You reckon he'll stay with you?

3 in 12 wasn't a bad return from him really. I haven't a clue if he'll stay now, we seemed quite happy with a proposed deal so unless Rowett now wants to bring him into the fold I reckon we'll still try and offload him. 1.5 million's a good price for him when you take a look at some of the fee's being banded around for others at this level.

Curtis Davies to join us from Hull is a new rumour started in the last hour or so, his brother tweeted this on Twitter but it's now been deleted;

Without being bias I don't think derby county could wish for a better centre half than curtis atm! 14/1 to win the championship is tempting

— Dan Campbell (@dancampbell77) June 6, 2017

Aslong as the fee wasn't too hefty I'd be happy with him joining.

Now linked with Bebe, seemingly regarded by many as the worst signing in modern history when Fergie brought him to Man Utd. In WV1, that accolade has strong competition though. We've signed some dross down the years. With alarming regularity. Look at last season's gem, the ineffable Paul Gladon. Ineffable because he wasn't any effing good.

Adam Le Fondre has gone to Bolton, £2 million and 20lk a week for 3 years was money well spent by us...

I reckon ALF will do well where he's the star man. Good signing by Bolton. It may seem a lot but when you are £170m in debt, what's another £2 million?

Plastics seem to think we're likely to sign Conor Mahoney from them as well, a few rumours we've had a deal agreed before the end of the season.

Not sure where he would fit in unless that Fulham interest in Callum Robinson is serious, would also explain why we would be willing to part with big money for McGeady.
