Without a cutting edge, all our decent signings are wasted. Nkethia doesn't want to be here by all accounts so we're better off without his ego.
Get a finisher and a centre half in tomorrow and we're looking good, without them it's a waste of good money IMO.

Puscas is a quality addition.

So is FFP enforceable or are clubs now thinking fuck it, let's battle against it.
It’s completely toothless. As you said earlier, the lack of serious punishment for QPR was the moment where FFP became just a running joke.

The problem is that the media hate it, the big clubs hate it, Sky hate it, armchair fans hate it. It spoils their video game fantasies coming true and big yellow transfer deadline day specials being even more of a wankfest. There’s a reason for it - to avoid the situation that is going on at Bolton and Bury.

There needs to be points deductions.

I think it’s only fair that if you have points deducted for overspending, you should be awarded points for spending fuck all :cool1:

Announce promotion.

I appreciate you've brought these players in, but last season (in all comps)

Maupay - 28 goals
Watkins - 12 goals
Benrahma - 11 goals

Worst case scenario you lose 51 goals from last season from those 3 players, best case scenario you've lost just Maupay but that's still a huge 28 goals. I think your recruitment as been as good as it could probably have been given the circumstances, but it's hard to see how you're stronger than last season.
And most importantly of all mate, they’re still managed by Thomas Frank.

Looks like Scott Carson has got a move, on loan to Manchester City.

Decent loan fee would be handy but I imagine it's purely wages which helps.

Being linked with John Leko now.

Judging by what West Brom fans are saying we would be getting a very good player in Sam field, in Leko - we won’t.

Incredibly talented mate, he tore some teams to shreds for us and ended Richard Keogh's career with a bit of skill to win a penalty but no consistency.

Mentally prepared for no one coming in today so would be buzzing with a new keeper.

Not signing another left back is gross negligence, Seddon confirmed that Rafferty will play there if needed.

Like last season, looks like we'll have to wait till January for another striker.

Now we’ve apparently come in for Kane Vincent-Young, RB from Colchester after Luton have had a bid knocked back.

It’s all too much.

KVY is excellent and will definitely play in the Championship at some point, even if not right now. Does sound increasingly likely that he will be off at some point today though.

He has consistently been amongst our best players for the last few seasons now, he's a right back/right wing-back who has been playing out of position on the left but become so comfortable you wouldn't even realise it. He's very athletic, always going on lengthy runs with the ball and with the way he dribbles round full backs for fun he'd probably make a good attacking winger in much the same way that Gareth Bale was eventually pushed forward from full back.

He comes across as a very intelligent, well-spoken guy too. You could do a lot worse.

You're making sweeping assumptions on those players we've lost and those players we bought in. If we spent £6m bringing in Watkins, Maupay and Benrahma, think what their replacements bought for £15m could be like.

We constantly look to upgrade, and just because we've lost goals it doesn't mean we cant replace them. We replaced Andre Gray with Hogan (who scored more). We replaced Hogan with Maupay (who scored more). In the background we had Vibe who also got his fair share of goals.

There's so much panic about losing good players, but it rarely takes into consideration our trend of replacing good players with better players. It's not an exact science and things don't always work out, but best not to judge whether we're weaker or stronger after just one game.

Maybe not so bad then. Sounds a bit like Karlan Grant before Bowyer got hold of him.

Austin to West Brom they’re saying now?

Not so sure we are after him now, though does sound like the sort of player Bowyer likes to go for. Wait and see on this one I guess.

Scott Sinclair left out of Celtic's CL squad for their next match - Lennon said it's because of interest from English clubs, would imagine it's someone in this league, saw a few clubs linked a week or so back?

Sounds like the perfect fullback for how we like to play, so we’ll definitely get pipped to him by Charlton!

Huddersfield apparently want Morsy as a replacement for Aaron Mooy if they sell him. Fuck sake!

We tried to get him on loan, if he's available i'm sure there will be interested parties we can't compete with.

Chris Gunter, Garath McCleary and Sam Baldock all available for new homes. Surprised no-one has taken a punt on Gunter yet. Nothing wrong with him.

I reckon so, and if they don't during the season by the end of it when we lose Pearson, Davies and Browne all in one go then they definitely will.

Alex Neil must have been spun some serious lies when he signed that contract.

Has a finger been lifted in regards to that training ground?
