Lewis Koumas on loan from Liverpool is the only proper rumour at the minute. Loads of clubs want him though.

I'd guess we'd move towards a 3-4-3 if he or another proper winger came in.
Koumas looks Wrexham bound.

The latest name is Alfie Devine from Spurs. Just had an impressive spell in Belgium for Westerlo. Attacking mid.

The EFL does allow for players to operate in coaching positions.
There's been loads in the past, we had Emlyn Hughes do it, Barnsley had Norman Hunter.
Surely Trevor Francis did the same for Wednesday?
It doesn't seem popular these days, but It can be done as far as I am aware, unless it's recently changed obviously?
Believe Rooney tried similar for Derby and it changed recently

I can't find anywhere it tells of any changes anywhere on the internet.

Séamus Coleman was appointed interim manager (along with U18 manager Leighton Baines) after Sean Dyche was let go by Everton F.C. on January 9, 2025.
so that's only 7 months ago.

The asked the question on AI and the only answer was:-

Yes, player managers are allowed in the English Football League (EFL), but they are uncommon and require specific FA coaching qualifications for both the playing and management roles. Governing bodies impose these requirements, making it difficult for players to obtain the necessary qualifications to also take on managerial duties.

I'd like to see confirmation one way or the other TBH.
